Everyone in Hawaii should endorse Obama. He won this state BIG TIME. Everyone in Hawaii should remember Inouye voting against YOUR VOTES for Obama and vote for who ever runs against him.

I have a feeling that just like with the Kennedys -- it was his kids that convinced Sen. Akaka.

It's good to see our Dem kupunas beginning to support the changeover to the new generation! It's not easy to pass the torch, but they will never regret it. White House, here we come!

What's wrong with you brah. I thought we don't want any change here in Hawaii. I thought we rather stay and live like 50 years back.

Why bother opposing the Democrats? They will just continue to support the unions of Hawaii that pander to our apathetic voters. Go McCain!!

Good for you, Senator Akaka .Your endorsement was a little late but better now than never. We know how difficult it is for you to have an endorsement contrary to that held by your mentor Senator Inouye. We can hope that President Obama will bring understanding and tolerance to the Oval office. At least there's hope and you to provide a guiding light.

Nice to see Sen. Akaka fighting the effects of rigor mortis to finally make the right endorsement.

Thank you, Senator Akaka!

Thank you for supporting the progressive idea of "one person, one vote."

Hawaii voted at least 3-to-1 for Obama. The leaders of the Democratic Party should honor that result.

Interesting!

.....and on the same day that a conservative columnist suggests that former Governor Huckabee (of all people) wants Obama to win in 2008. See http://www.suntimes.com/news/novak/943991,CST...

Can you imagine if the Dems get control of the Whitehouse and both Houses of Congress?

Can you imagine the rest of the country being governed as Hawaii has been for the past 60 years. Yikes!

Akaka, Abercrombie and Hirono are positioning themselves for a piece of the pie in case Obama wins. Inouye votes for Clinton; his conscience tells him to vote for the best qualified candidate.

Inoue is a man of honor and commitment. Something that none of the above people understands nor has it in them.

Akaka, Ambercrobie and Hirono are just unstable leaders who will always choose popular vote more than what is right and honorable. These 3 won't last long in politics.

Inoue knows that Hillary helped Hawaii more than Obama did for Hawaii or his own place in Chicago.

When is all said and done. Macain another war hero like Inouye will be the next president. Osama will be just another Jesse Jackson and Hillary will become a lobbies just to pay off her campaign spending.

And we all will be safe from terrroist (hamas) attempt to infiltrate our government via Obama who support Hamas.
