So, where is your disagreement?
My only point was that not having a gun, does NOT mean you lose the right to defend yourself!
You can agree with me that much...right?

What you THINK is "apparent" is MOOT when it comes to FACTS!
It is a FACT that you STILL have the right to protect yourself even if you don't have a gun!
It is a FACT that the shooting at Columbine went on for another 29 minutes after ARMED OFFICERS shot at them!
It is a FACT (and documented for years on this very thread) that I am FOR GUNS FOR SELF DEFENSE!
What you THINK is MOOT!
"girl"
lol
If you were caught naked in a crowded subway I have no doubt you'd claim nothing was wrong I swear.

Sure...you can try and defend yourself with a corkscrew if you want but the only fact you need to discover is that a firearm is the most effective tool for that job.

Because the shootings at Columbine went on for another 29 minutes is not to say they would have not continued longer had no resistance to them arrived.

And I for one am highly doubtful you are for guns as a means of self defense given you want to attack their usage for same.

You're toast sister.

That makes absolutely NO SENSE!
How can someone back gun rights, and mock them at the same time?
Can you point me to a specific post where I do that?
Not what you "think" I infer, but an actual post that can back what you claim about me?
Pam Jordan wrote:

You claim a gun is a good tool of defense yet scream why can't someone find an alternative.
Do you ALWAYS take people out of context?
Let me make this easy, because you seem to not understand:
Point # 1: GUNS ARE A GOOD TOOL FOR DEFENSE!
Here's a SEPARATE POINT #2: Someone does not lose the right to defend themselves if they don't have a gun!
How does that equate that I want someone to find an alternative? I'm simply trying to show that you won't lose your right to self defense...ever! Whether you have a gun or not...how is that bad?
NOW....either you are TRYING to act like you don't understand the point, or you are not smart enough to understand the point!
I'm not sure which is worse:)

I have posted it many times.
On the very posts you're replying to.
How can you not see it?

MOSTLY, I didn't say that the founding fathers believed the opposite of "the right to bear arms"!
You posted quotes of the founders being against gun regulations.
I said I could prove that they felt the OPPOSITE....meaning they were FOR regulations.
Not against the right to bear arms:)

Proof:

For starters, the noble founding fathers, those folks who put the right to keep and bear arms in the founding document of this great nation, were not at all opposed to gun control. They had all kinds of gun laws -- most notably laws barring black people from owning guns. They also required that all muskets be regularly inspected and registered.

Before the Civil War ended, State "Slave Codes" prohibited slaves from owning guns. After President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, and after the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution abolishing slavery was adopted and the Civil War ended in 1865, States persisted in prohibiting blacks, now freemen, from owning guns under laws renamed “Black Codes.”

The Founding Fathers instituted gun laws so intrusive that, were they running for office today, the NRA would not endorse them. While they did not care to completely disarm the citizenry, the founding generation denied gun ownership to many people: not only slaves and free blacks, but law-abiding white men who refused to swear loyalty to the Revolution.

For those men who were allowed to own guns, the Founders had their own version of the “individual mandate”: they required the purchase of guns. A 1792 federal law mandated every eligible man to purchase a military-style gun and ammunition for his service in the citizen militia. Such men had to report for frequent musters—where their guns would be inspected and, yes, registered on public rolls!

Fact is as a modern nation we are now able to determine what path to take when it comes to our initial beginnings.

Your efforts on increased or even existing controls in regards to firearms paints you someone who is not for gun rights but the restriction of the same.

In short...you're a liar.

One fundemental obstacle these fools who think we should ban guns fail to realize is not only does it breach the basic freedom in being able to defend one's self but just how in the hell are you going to eliminate the invention of the firearm? I mean how many guns do you think are out there? It's got to be in the billions. And we're to think we can magically make them go away?

You might have to say goodbye to someone you care about, or you may realize some difficult truths about your relationship. You may also have to make a tricky decision about a child or a creative project.
