No, it's a fine language. But English is and should remain the OFFICIAL language of America, its government, schools, etc.

it's a colorful language akin to it's roots in spain, portugal, italy etc.

now the tortured 'spanglish' used by the current younger ones in my part of the country even keep the normal spanish speaking population scratching their heads going 'que?'.

English has been our official language since this country was started.......why let a bunch of non-lawbiding border-jumpers change it!!!!

Well, to the point of the article, such as it is, I and other Americans should not have to yield to the tribalism Latin Americans (let's face it - most illegal aliens are Latin American) bring when they invade uninvited.

Sure, America is a melting pot. Our current immigration laws, the most liberal in the world, recognize and honor this fact. However, the influx of new culture must be controlled, lest we wind up looking like the oligarchies and dictatorships so many flee to come here.

The short answer to the question is YES.
Spanish is scary.
