Georgia trying to control pill mills

Full story: Palm Beach Post

After Cameron McClure died of an overdose of prescription painkillers in April, his parents found an empty bottle of oxycodone among the 27-year-old Jonesboro man's belongings.

I think it is deplorable for people in legitamite pain to have to be put in such a disposition so drug addicts whom seek only the high are taking perseverence over ones whom depend on it. have a somewhat functional life

More deplorable are people like the parents of Cameron McClure who blame the pain clinics for their sons death. He ODed & the parents should be objective enough to put the blame where it belongs which is on their son. But passing the buck & blaming others is the American way.
Even more deplorable are the attorney generals & DEA agents who are bound & determined to control what medications we can & can't get from doctors. They charged these doctors under the RICO statues. That law is for Mafia Kingpins like John Gotti not for pain clinic doctors. The RICO laws give the government the right to throw the constitution out the window.
Don't worry about the people going to pain clinics seeking a high. The threat comes from this new world order government & agencies like the DEA which are nothing more than paramilitary thugs. Not to mention societies holier then thou attitude towards drugs. These are the real threats. From my stand point DEA agents are in the same category as pedophiles & rapist. They have ruined more lives & caused more suffering than drugs could ever cause.

Hi Sonya I miss you guys. Hope everything's well at the ranch. It's getting bad here in Georgia with pain clinics getting shut down & others closing before they get shut down. With the closings a lot of people are left looking for another clinic. You're right when you talk about DEA causing suffering. You have to be a total asshole to become a DEA agent to begin with. Why should these patients be put through all of this? As for people just going to clinics to get high. How do you really know who's just there to get high? What is the lesser of the 2 evils denying someone pain medication because they may be drug seeking? Or giving the patient the benefit of the doubt? The ladder is the humane & logical answer. As you said a MRI should be enough evidence to allow a doctor to write pain medication without fear of being arrested.

I'll be back out there to work during the month of Dec. I need to make some Christmas cash. I can't wait to see you again Sonya have a great Thanksgiving.

Let's control our Congress first and then the pain mills will probably settle down. Everytime I see Boehner the congressman on TV I have to take an extra 10mg Lortab although I am only supposed to take 1 every 6 hours.

Link the pharmacies across the united states together. This way you can control the pill mills.WHen a person gets a prescription filled, it goes into a data base and before another pharmacy can fill it, they have to see when the last one was filled. If they fill it anyway, monitor the pharmacies and charge them $10,000 per offense. They will stop filling meds for these "PAIN " people. If you have PAIN its because of something YOU YOURSELF DID in earlier life.Thats what hospitals are for.

Oh come on man more government to "protect us" I'm 62 year young and I've seen the 30 to 55 year old generation x allow more and more police for everything, like a bunch of robots. If people don't have pills to get high on they'll drink themselves to death and there is not a thing the government can do. Although tough drink and driving laws are good. It's a matter of self control and if you smoke cigarettes you are the worst addict of all.If it were up to the fucs at the DEA there would be no pain relief for those like me with lymphnode cancer. By the way the DEA is going to take a major budget cut 2013 after the super committee failed to reach an agreement. GOOD NEWS!

And don't blame the doctors either addicts, it's up to you to go by the label, whether it be two a day or four or six and if you feel you are becoming addicted tell the doctor and not blame him or her because you just could'nt control your pitiful self.

35 states have this pmp program to tract pill usage. States like Kansas,Missouri,Georgia etc have not implemented this program yet. You can find out on the internet by looking up Prescription Monitoring Programs

You are very wrong about that. I'm a Cancer survivor, and Its not some people's fault that some people that just want to go the pain managements and get high off Med. Why should we have to carry with others mistakes? what about us the people that really need to go there?! You can not blame everybody for something that just one person did. Not everybody is the same.... be careful you might have a car accident or something one day and you would need to go to Pain clinics.. and you might not even get treated even though you really need the treatment. be very careful the mouth is your worst enemy.

If you don't need pain meds and the doctor gives them to you he should be shut down for not having enough sense to know the difference .

This is very similar to the TS vs. TG debate. There are men addicted to living as women (TG) and women born wrongly with male parts due to a birth defect and who desperately need them gone and the life associated with someone born fully female for medical or therapeutic reasons (TS). Yet the homosexuals and TGs think they own TSs and have the right to speak for them, and TSs have lost rights in the mainstream community due to the behaviors of TGs/LGBT, and their lie accusing TSs of being part of the TG community. That would be like calling therapeutic drug users a part of the recreational drug use community.

I agree. Addicts don't care who they hurt, and they will do nearly anything for a fix.

I agree. Some site I was on was about violent women and one of the stories was about a baby sitter who killed the child she was in charge of to get to rob the house for dope money.

Then there was the woman making meth in Walmart. She had all the chemicals and was making it in the store before security called the cops. Sadly, 2 officers were injured if I remember right, because they came in contact with the chemicals (think battery acid).

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Sagittarius

Relationships have been going through through testing times since the Solar Eclipse at last month's New Moon in Gemini on May 20. Events may force you to reevaluate the state of a partnership. You may even decide that you need to make some major adjustments if things are to carry on as you would like. During the coming fortnight leading up to the rare second New Moon in Gemini, this may feel like a crisis, but that doesn't mean you should abandon all hope or throw out the baby with the bathwater.
