what about the Legit CPP's? Ive been on these meds sadly for years :( But these "People" are making it So Bad and Hard on Legit CPP's. WHY? and WHY IS THIS BEING ALLOWED? Were Not all Bad People trying to get high ect. I just want to be able to walk and use the bathroom w/ out help on my bad days :/ DOES ANYONE UNDERSTAND THIS?

I understand, and so do others. I wasn't around for it, but it's like the movie Reefer Madness. The media try's so hard to scare the sht out of people. Like you, I have been on these medications for awhile now as well. There will always be users and abusers, and there are also those who use their meds appropriately. Right now prescription drugs are the boogy man, in a few years they will find somethin' new to demonize.

If you lived where I do and see what the abuse of these drugs has done, you would be able to run to the bathroom without any kind of pain meds. It would scare you into good health. Pure mountain water and fresh fruit is what this doctor orders.

Misty, I think you are bein' shot because your message isn't helpin' anyone or anythin''. I'm sure people are happy for you that your pain relief methods work for you, that doesn't mean they will work for others.

Aw shucks. I didn't come out to Cali to be shot thru the heart. I'm just a simple,land locked Beach Boys fan. I dreamed of being a surfer. I know my methods don't work for everyone. After all,I live in the land of the golden pill mills. I was just offering an alternative. In my humble country girl way.

I do understand it because I have a sister who has suffered for over 30 years. I have a son in your neck of the woods who has the same problem. I was being glib and that was wrong. I try not to think about it. I was just going through Topix as it has been a slow day. I said to myself,"I know. I will find me a town out on the West coast."

Granted, there are many abusers of opiates. There is no denyin' that fact, and it seems that pain pills are the drug of choice for many people these days. I don't have kids, but if I did I can guarantee that my meds would be locked up tighter than a bad tipper's wallet!

... ummm have you ever thought about the reason people go on these meds? well for me its because all i did was take ib profin (still do) and drink and eat healthy yes Every CPP should know that water helps but sadly when youre making your stomach bleed over it there's a thing called a what?...... a Pain Pill THANK GOD!:)

i am so happy you said this and it really caught my attention :) thank you. seriously. How freakin true!! and i was thinking that the drug companies are just mad cause instead of taking their guinea pig drugs we're Learning that we can take a pain pill w/ out the 100 side effects so they're just scared of losing some $$

I know EXactly why people get on all those meds. A person doesn't have to take so many Ibprofins to destroy their stomach. You did it to yourself. It's called being weak minded.

My first pain mgt. doc pumped me full of sht that didn't work includin' gabapentin and a very evil and vile drug cymbalta! The withdrawals from cymbalta was probably the worst I have ever felt. Big Pharma is worried 'bout there bottom line, you can bet your ass! Opiates are not evil if you take them the way you're supposed to. I realize this is easier sad than done.

Meds are made for a reason. They have directions for a reason. That some choose to use them for alternate uses is nobody's fault but their own.

Just remember one thing, big pharma will never ever lose money. When that much money is involved, the right people will always be paid off to keep the gravy train rolling along.

Just look at cigarettes. In most states, a 21-year old can't get drunk...but their allowed to get started on their happy way to lung cancer at the tender age of 18.

And that's OK?

Good to see the government is looking out for the health and welfare of it's people.

Or are they just looking out for their next campaign contribution?

I think I know the answer to that one.
