What they forgot to mention.. That this is associated with baby formula that has been stored for a while.. Like two years. What is more likly is that the parents had an older child who didn't use all the formula and they saved it for the next one. There is a reason why it says discard after such and such time.
I say it's really sad to see a news company just like this who fail to give us the FULL story instead of scaring the crap out of millions upon millions of people who are feeding their children formula right now. What they SHOULD tell you, that even though it is best to breastfeed, but if you can't make sure to check dates on cans of powered formula and toss out any over a year old. Also, double check on formula thats concentrated or ready to drink.. Then toss those out when the can say's too do so. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enterobacter_sak... |

Judged: 1 I like how they say women should breastfeed their children; like this would never have happened if women did this. Well...sometimes this isn't always an option for all mothers. |

Page 5 of the August 2006 Emerging Infectious Diseases publication has detailed information regarding Enterobacter sakazakii: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/eid/vol12no08/pdfs/...
It doesn't appear that the bacteria-borne threat is related to the melamine issue but rather to the exposure to bacterial agents during the production of infant formula (even in the U.S.), the storage, preparation and feeding conditions after preparation. It may take more time before more details are released but the NM Dept. of Health has slightly more info on this story: http://www.health.state.nm.us/CommunicationsO... |

Is there any information about what brand the babies usually had?

It is understandable that some women are unable to breast their babies.I was talking about the ones that can. Maybe my previous blog sounded like I was judging, believe me, I'm not.I apologize if I hurt anyone. I was just thinking of the babies.

Judged: 1 1 1 you are igno**rant. no one knows until you try if you can or cannot breastfeed, |
|
Judged: 2 2 2 Wrong mor0n. Many women have kids even AFTER they know they can't breast feed. Obviously, judging by your stupidity, you were not only fed formula when you were a baby, you were also dropped on your head multiple times! |

UHateMe says"if you can't breastfeed, you shouldn't have babies". That is the most RIDICULOUS statement I've ever heard. He/She is calling just about everybody "stupid". It's obvious that UHateMe needs to be educated.
