Can't they throw these suspected sick people in with Casey Anthony for a couple of hours?

It concerns me that it is taking so long for the results to come back. Weren't tests results sent out Monday evening? By the time they find out if 3 cases are swine flu, it will be quite a few more. Florida is a big state for tourists from all over the world.

A gathering place such as Disney World, one would think anyway, would be the last place one would want to be at right now. It's always a melting pot of travelers.

I started tracking this on the 20th and the growth was exponential. The "official" numbers are now growing at a linear rate because the testing labs are saturated. The government is now in a damage control mode.

Those little disposable masks won't help prevent flu. But, if they make you feel better, go ahead and wear them for the psychological value. I agree with "downtown resident," "Overhyped" is 100 percent correct! Yes, this flu is spreading fast; however, I'm willing to bet every other strain of flu over the years has spread just as fast, only it's not making the news every night. CDC states that each year in the US there are over 36,000 deaths due to flu-related causes; I'm betting that most of those poor victims didn't make the news unless we're talking about their obituaries. Practice good personal hygiene, teach your kids to do the same, eat right, take your vitamins, and if you DO get sick, go to a doctor right away. The most effective preventive measure against the flu is to use common sense.

Keep the Hysteria going ! Joe Biden tells people not to use airplanes and for people in NYC not to use Subways. Surprised that Mayor Crotty didn't have a "germ" mask on for the photo op.

The most effective preventive measure against the flu is to use common sense. A mask can reduce transmission of contaminated spray. Common sense. An N95 or P100 respirator will prevent inhalation and transmission of said spray. Hand washing and sanitizers will reduce transmission of the pathogens. Kissing pigs is probably a bad idea, flu or not. I've had a real case the "common" flu and nearly died. I knew another perfectly healthy guy that caught the common flu and did die. This can be serious. I always get vaccinated because I know how serious the flu can be.... there is none for this strain.

From the NY Times...
The disease centers’ count of 91 confirmed cases in the United States did not include some later reports by states that confirmed cases after the C.D.C. tally was posted. In addition, there were suspected cases in Louisiana and Delaware.
"Kits being provided to the states and other countries will allow them to test for the virus on their own and obtain results within a few hours."
Since when did a few hours become 48 hours, or was this area not supplied with these kits. Certainly central florida has more international visitors than most metro regions in the south.
Make sure to take your Vitamin C & Echinacea.

We just have to assume that it is here and probably in high numbers due to the abount of people coming and going and take the precautions necessary.

I guess this article confirms that CDC is witholding evidence. The results from the 10 cases from S. Carolina were received before the results from the first suspected case in Orange County. Maybe They're waiting until after all Pediatric Doctor's offices are closed for the week. Then we can all panic and take our kids to the E.R.
