Suprising to think that he would even try to get away with this. Each block has a lot number.

When it is consumed you must turn in a consumption report with a Battalion Level Commander's signature.

If the item is not consumed it is returned back to the Unit's Account. The paper trail is pretty extensive and if not followed correctly an investigation begins.

Great job for those who figured this one out.

A law is an ordinance.
Explosives would be ordnance.

Something that was kind of skipped over in this story to me are these two "hunters" rummaging around this guy's private property. What were they doing on this guy's property? Did they know this guy, or were they trespassing looking and to steal something? That's kind of like stumbling upon a guy cooking the books while you're breaking in his office isn't it?

Thats probably why there is more to this than meets the eye. 100 pounds of C-4? I can see a couple of bricks slipping through... I was a SF Weapons Sgt in 5th Group so I know how it can happen, if you are stupid enough... but 100 pounds? There are a lot more people that should be sitting in jail with this dumb ass!

Since when was it a federal crime to possess a non-registered weapon? There is nothing about illegal weapons, only unregistered. I'm seeing overeager cops and a lawsuit coming up.

There are too many WTFO here. Why does the idiot have 100 pounds of Sterno? Without caps and det cord they are good fire starters. Why was the stuff "hidden in woods"? Why not in the house, barn, shed, etc? Then you could have shot the "hunters for trespassing", and B&E. 100 pounds of C-4 is sufficient to be Grand Theft from the federal government, and worth a DD, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, plus some hard time in Levenworth. Is the individual a sleeper terrorist? Was further investigation taken to find the caps and det cord? With these there is enough explosive to take down any number of very large buildings, placed properly of course. Just my humble musings of course..........

Wow.....you mean the same civilians that support you soldiers of war. What nerve you have to say something like that. The death of this country are murders, robbers, crooked politicians and arrogant and crooked service men. That is the death of this country.

C-4 is a controlled SF munition that is used for training and whatever. Caps and det cord are also an SF controlled item.

My questions are:
1. How did he get so much off post?(each block is signed for)
2. Does he have the caps and d-cord stashed away someplace else?
3. Was he under suspicion?
4. Was the "hunters" really a team of CID, SFI, FBI, ATF out on a hunt and seek party?

Do you have to register guns in Kentucky? Here in Arkansas I can own any (legal) firearm and don't have to register it anywhere. If bought from a private individual I don't even have to do an NCIS check. As far as I know the Constitution doesn't require gun registration, and it is surprising to me that a state like Kentucky would require it.

Does Kentucky require registration just to own a gun? In Arkanwas I can own any (legal) firearm and don't have to register it anywhere. I know the states have different requirements, but it surprises me that it would be a crime in Kentucky simply to OWN a firearm

Unfortunately today, in order to maintain peace and order in this great nation, you must fight fire with fire.

Criminals stealing and concealing dangerous items must be uncovered and charged.

The public has the right to be safe and the enforcers and investigators have the duty to keep it that way.

Job well done. Let the chips fall where they may (or the C4)

End of story.

I wonder where this came from as it is totally off the wall, in my most humble opinion, that is. OK, let's let the chips fall where they may, while as far as I am concerned the feds may hang this dude to the fence post.

Now consider this mister insecure, for whatever reason, your wife has spent much of the night being awakened by noises from the farm area. She wants you to go investigate, who are you going to call???

Do you realize in the country, the owner may shoot anyone trespassing across his property , if he sees the perps walking across the property, that is, and with guns?
