George Bush accepted the Republican nomination in 2004 on a similar neo-classical set. The columns were less Greek and more Roman Imperial, but that's a stylistic preference for Republicans.

McCain ran sharply negative ads this week? You don't say. Haven't 95% of his ads been negative? Maybe that's a product of him voting with Bush so often... if he even show up to vote. He's missed far more votes than Obama due to the campaing.

Could itbe related to owing more homes than he can remember that he owns? Seems to me the Republicans criticized Kerrey four years ago for marrying a rich woman. McCain gets a pass on it, though. Maybe because he left his wife in a hospital bed to marry Cindy. That must make it more acceptable.

In this election I prefer the guy with one wife and one house: Barak Obama,

Now, when I heard George Bush was reading my emails, I probably had the same reaction you did: George Bush can read?! Yes, he can. And this administration has read your phone records, credit card statements, mail, Internet logs. I can't tell if they're fighting a war on terror or producing the next season of "Cheaters." I mail myself a copy of the Constitution every morning just on the hope they'll open it and see what it says.

John McCain likes to say that he'll follow bin Laden to the Gates of Hell -- but he won't even follow him to the cave where he lives."

"He said that our economy has made 'great progress' under this president. He said that the fundamentals of the economy are strong. And when one of his chief advisers -- the man who wrote his economic plan -- was talking about the anxiety Americans are feeling, he said that we were just suffering from a 'mental recession,' and that we've become, and I quote,'a nation of whiners,'"It's not because John McCain doesn't care. It's because John McCain doesn't get it,

believing in an "old, discredited Republican philosophy.... Pull yourself up by your own bootstraps -- even if you don't have boots."

"John McCain has voted with George Bush 90 percent of the time,""McCain likes to talk about judgment, but really, what does it say about your judgment when you think George Bush has been right more than 90 percent of the time? I don't know about you, but I'm not ready to take a 10 percent chance on change," he said.

the time has come where we as a nation can look past race, sex, religion, ethnic background, and look at a person and agree that this person will make an instant impact in our lives not only now but for our future. we as a nation the last 8 years have gone through to much suffering the face of america a great nation tarnished to the rest of the world set aside by greedy republicans out to strip the very foundation of the middle and lower class livley hood sending us to a time of depression relentlessness misinformed groups lead astray by the very government that was put in place by our fathers of this great nation to use there own greed to justify there methods. one election can right the wrongs, fix what is broken, rekindle the image once again that we can shine in the eyes of the rest of the world like we once did as leaders of a free nation a single nation no longer divided by the conniving governmental thieves. the time is now to take back the riches from this evil king of todays version of Nottingham Geroge Bush and his clone McBush! and give the riches that they have stolen from the american people and give it back to those who need it!

Soaring gas costs put cops on foot, bikes, horses - even Segways
Elosa Ruano Gonzlez | Sentinel Staff Writer
August 29, 2008
Struggling with sky-high gasoline prices, law-enforcement agencies across Central Florida are looking for ways to get officers out from behind the wheel.
More Orlando police officers are turning off their engines and hitting the street on foot and on bicycles. They're also using more motorcycles and horses to help curb fuel costs -- the Orlando Police Department spent $2.4 million on fuel this past year, about $800,000 more than was budgeted, Sgt. Barbara Jones said.
"Officers are cognizant of the increase in the cost of fuel and have been asked to take any measures to save fuel," Jones wrote in an e-mail. "Examples [include not] leaving cars idling [and] patrolling on foot or bicycle when possible."
but hay theres nothing wrong with the economy, a vote for mcain is a vote for 4 more years of stories like these!

Do you smoke a lot of pot? I've heard it makes people paranoid.

Since you obviously know (hopefully you do) that President Bush doesn't give a rat's patoot about your email then you're saying this to exagerate a point you don't like.

Now do you really not like the idea that our government has to monitor "restricted and controlled" communications to protect us or are you do you possibly agree and you're only saying this to discredit the Republican administration? I suspect the latter because unless you're a terrorist or you're involved in things like downloading child porn then you shouldn't be overly concerned that the government has to monitor for terrorist activities to protect us. And I might be going out on a limb here but I'm assuming you want our country to be protected.

So that brings up a good point. If you really don't like the present administration to be able to protect us and we end up with someone (Obama) who doesn't really have the desire or experience for that matter to stand up militarily to terrorism then what do you think the future of our country is going to be? I'd say pretty bad.

Joe Biden suffers from an infliction that some say is good but it's bad for the Democrats. At times he speaks the truth before he realizes he shouldn't be saying something.

An example of this was his statment the other day that went something like "it takes more than a soldier to be president". Sure Joe, I agree. But the MOST IMPORTANT aspect of this election is to find someone who is a soldier first and foremost. If they are that then you go on to the next qualification.

I believe Hillary would have been a "soldier" because she was willing to stand up and fight. Obama doesn't have that quality nor does he even have any experience to show it. He's a "talker". He's promising people whatever they want to hear. And other than being the most liberal voting senator in congress, he doesn't have too much for us to go on.

And that means people like you who are voting for him are taking a risky gamble that he turns into a soldier very quickly if he gets elected. I don't want to gamble on my country's future. I want as safe a bet as possible.

safe bet and voting for mcain aka mcbush is a safe bet? the whole republican party is nothing but a bunch of slogans and scare tactics there have been terrorists since the dawn of time. when the Europeans came to America and infested the Native Americans with small pox from clothing that they gave that they new was infected was a form of terrorist behavior when the crusades went around killing people who they thought believed in a different god was terrorist,ect.... terrorists have always always been around since the dawning of time. funny how America averages a war every 20 years or less but other nations that are succesful economically dont like china and Europe! to have a war on terror is nothing more but to say its a war that will last a life time. going against the constitution for your own selfish needs is not patriotic its going against what the principles this country was founded upon! its said to say that there are more crooks in this administration than the regan administration! A strong nation and a strong offense is its defense! this is coming from an administration that flew osama bin ladens family out of florida the day after sep 11, this is coming from an administration that has no intention to look for osama bin laden, this is coming from an administration that has set the economy in a worst position since the great depression and now you want some lame duck over aged military phyco to come in and mess it up even further?
George Bush is an idiot that makes mistakes because he is an idiot and cant help it, Mcbush is a smart person who will make idiot mistakes because he knows its wrong he just dont care. So go ahead and vote for Mcain instead of Obama as the cost of the dollar goes down gas goes up and we continue a war with a country that had nothing to do with sep 11!

Obama Bin Biden Laden, if elected, will find out what it's truly all about as soon as he gets into office = that HE does NOT run the office or the government = but, a committee of special interest groups and a secret underground group that pulls ALL the strings!!!

He will be "just a mouth piece" and that will be all!!

Why do you think every new president a month after they are in office have those "deer in headlight" look in their faces. The learn it is all a facade. Like Wizard of Oz.

To all of you Obamasama fans == remember ALL politicans will SAY ANYTHING to get elected..He needs to back up his plans with facts on HOW he is going to do it..BEFORE you vote!!!

also heres a point mr diogenes if hillary clinton bill clinton and the rest of the democratic supporters are telling you not to vote for mcain and that obama is ready and you said that you believe hillary is a soldier then you believe in her message as you stated here in ur post and i quote
I believe Hillary would have been a "soldier"
then you should believe in her when she says to vote for obama thus you are currently contradicting yourself when you say you believe hillary is a soldier and not believe in what hillary says about obama being ready for presidency!

but what can you expect from a person willing to vote for mcbush
