There is no proof of Martin having a violent past. There is some proof of Zimmerman having violent past. The was overwhelming proof of Bernie Castro having violent past including several days before Bernie was shot he told Julie that if she should ever attempt to leave him he would kill her and the kids. Then to punctuate the point he took a M16 and reduced the dining room table and buffet to slivers and explained to her that is what she would look like if she tried divorcing him. The point being we had adequate self defense laws long before SYG made it legal to kill someone for attempting to defend themselves. Julie had been terrorized until the point she could no longer take it. I don't think that applies in Zimmerman’s case. Martin was the one who was being made fearful by Zimmerman. He had a right to defend himself.

You and Zimmerman both wish where he was when he hung up, and where he went immediately afterwards, does not matter. The difference between you and Zimmerman is Zimmerman knows it does matter and that is why he lied about it.

The protesters were demanding the law be applied. When government ignores the law it is time to take to the streets. Justice will now be determined in a court of law as it was meant to be thanks to those who are willing to stand up for justice.
