we really have no reason to trust blago and the boys with 25 billion dollars. blago will take a chunk of it and use it for health care so we'll never see the road improvements anyway.

btw, what is the state doing with the record dollars they are collecting on gasoline right now?

It would be gross negligence to entrust our tax money to Blago and the collection of crooks that make up IL state politics. Hopefully, the finishing touches of the federal indictment of Blago are right now sitting on a AUSA's computer at the Dirksen Building

The speed of the leader, the speed of the team.

If the leaders of your city are crooks, the leaders of your county are crooks and the leaders of your state are crooks,

how is it that you expect minimal criminal activity from your citizens?

Our leaders have taught many that advancement by being dishonest is the way to get what you want.

my parents raised me to be honest and work my butt off. perhaps theirs did not?

Dear Tribune - great editorials. Please publish a piece on what we - as citizens who are getting creamed with tax increases, poor services, etc... can do specifically to improve the situation we're in. I don't hear one politician saying "gee, we're in a recession - maybe time to tighten our belts" just like all of us constiuents are doing. Thanks.

The city of Chicago doesn't need more of the downstate's money to try and solve their problems. Perhaps they should throw some money our way to help solve our problems intead of just take take take.
