Report by a Democratically lead committee just before the election? No, there is no bias there along with the fact that this committee's opinion isn't the one that matters.
The opinion from this committee holds the same weight as mine does - NONE. This group has stepped outside their purview to issue a negative opinion all well-timed for the election. WHO IS ABUSING THEIR POWER HERE! Sounds like the committee.
Besides all of this - the trooper was begging to get fired. The troopers boss wouldn't do what was necessary so she made sure it happened.
State governments support democracy. The internal workings of your government do not work that way. It is called command and control with line authority.
Now we will get to see the liberal media make this an issue when it really means nothing.
Nope. This was committee with 10 REPUBLICANS and 4 Democrats. So this means a GOP led committee.

At a rally in Minnesota on Friday, a woman told McCain: "I don't trust Obama. I have read about him and he's an Arab."
McCain shook his head and said, "No ma'am, no ma'am. He's a decent family man...[a] citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues. That's what this campaign is all about."
One man at the rally said he was "scared of an Obama presidency." McCain later told the man he should not fear Obama.
"I want to be president of the United States, and I don't want Obama to be," he said. "But I have to tell you, I have to tell you, he is a decent person, and a person that you do not have to be scared as President of the United States."
McCain's response was met with boos from the crowd.
Fear NOT. As a lifelong MN resident I can pretty much assure y'all that the nut jobs that have been herded into the McSame rallies here are right along the same lines of the last election's "Bush rallie's" where rational thought has been seriously missing for at least 4 years. There are "fringe" elements everywhere in America. The good news is that MN is solidly Blue in political persuasion. Yesterday's "Palin Oct surprise" Troopergate announcement should seal the deal for anyone yet capable of independent thought. Last MN poll showed McSame down by close to 10% and he will keep fading out to a distant memory soon enough.

Let's see here. Public safety director who is very cozy with Sen. French disobeys several direct orders of his direct superior, the Governor, with regards to spending and procurement; goes over her head directly to his friend Sen. French to get additional funding and publicly criticizes the Governor. The Governor, correctly suspecting disloyalty and gross insubordination on the part of her Public Safety Director, removes him from his position and offers him another. He refuses. Then, as soon as the Governor is tapped for VP against the candidate supported by Sen. French French convenes a committee, chaired by and composed of several Obama supporters, to "investigate" this matter. What happens? The investigation reveals that the Governor was well within her rights, duties and powers to take the action that she did with regard to the Public Safety director. What did she do wrong, according to the investigation? She allowed her husband to inquire, strongly and at length, as to why his State Trooper ex-brother-in-law was given a short suspension and a quick promotion after violating state game laws, drinking and driving while on duty, threatening the life of his father-in-law and tazering a 10 year old boy, his step-son. In South Florida every activist group around would be marching on the State House to demand the termination and arrest of a police officer that did that. But, if a Republican governor's family demands the same in Alaska, it is somehow an abuse of power. Go figure. Well, maybe the child and the moose had knives, it is Alaska after all.
I see just one problem with your rant. Does every AK citizen have the "right" to march into public offices to demand the firing of people that they don't like very much? They certainly can do this, but most citizens won't be expecting the sitting Govenor to back up their request by firing someone that SHE doesn't like very much. It must be a bit too complex of an ethical issue for meathead's like you to understand. You are the reason why America is in the sorry state that we find it today, brother.

Very clever of the obamaidiots to cast anyone who questions their idol as racist.
Especially amusing, as obama attended an openly racist church for twenty years.
But don't mention that fact, or you're labeled a racist.

So let me get this right. All of you Obama supports are upset that see tried to get a crooked cop fired. Yes the cop was a criminal in this case. He admitted to using a tazer on his 10 year old son. All he got was a two day suspension. As a veteran cop I can say he should have been fired and charged with child abuse. His defense was the child asked to be tazed. So pick something better to bash her on.
Wow I hope that you are a retired cop bcause you can't read. This is what happened.

Her brother-in-law was a bad cop. He was punished. But Palin could not end it there. She wanted to get him fired. So a decision was made to get the Commissioner to get him fired. Only the Commissioner said no. So somehow her office had the Commissioner fired and in the process the information in Wooten's personnel file was illegally obtained. That is her abuse of power. She has only herself to blame for this mess. One can go another step further to see where the office of VP or maybe President would taker her. Richard Nixon also was accused of ABUSE OF POWER.

This is so blatantly political, both on the timing of the release of this report and your coverage. Interesting that your story failed to mention why her former brother-in-law was up for firing: breaking the law himself in several instances, including tasering his own 10-year-old son and threatening the family. Geez I guess that doesn't matter. I'm a subscriber who will not renew my subscription when it's up because of your biased coverage of this campaign. I noticed in your hard copy of this on today's page 5A that you downplayed the Obama/Acorn story and have a headline that states that it's the GOP which is claiming voter fraud. It's not the GOP, Acorn is being investigated by the FBI in over 10 states, and Obama and his campaign is directly involved with this group giving them money and at one point he worked with them. I guess that's just not newsworthy on your part.

Hey why doesn't your brave honorable war hero just simply ASK Obama about all these supposedlyscary and questionable personal relationships?
It's all he's talking about in campaign ads, but he can't have the courage to ask Obama to his face in a debate.
Either he's the biggest wimp on earth, or he knows it's just all a load of B.S.

What if....

Obama/Biden vs McCain/Palin, what if things were switched around?.....think about it.

Would the country's collective point of view be different?

Ponder the following:

What if the Obamas had paraded five children across the stage, including a three month old infant and an unwed, pregnant teenage daughter?

What if John McCain was a former president of the Harvard Law Review?

What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class?

What if McCain had only married once, and Obama was a divorcee?

What if Obama was the candidate who left his first wife after a severe disfiguring car accident, when she no longer measured up to his standards?

What if Obama had met his second wife in a bar and had a long affair while he was still married?

What if Michelle Obama was the wife who not only became addicted to pain killers but also acquired them illegally through her charitable organization?

What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?

What if Obama had been a member of the Keating Five?
(The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s.)

What if McCain was a charismatic, eloquent speaker?

What if Obama couldn't read from a teleprompter?

What if Obama was the one who had military experience that included discipline problems and a record of crashing seven planes? And was never given a command position.

What if Obama was the one who was known to display publicly, on many occasions, a serious anger management problem?

What if Michelle Obama's family had made their money from beer distribution?

What if the Obamas had adopted a white child?

You could easily add to this list. If these questions reflected reality, do you really believe the election numbers would be as close as they are?

This is what racism does. It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes positive qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative qualities in another when there is a color difference.

Educational Background:

Barack Obama:
Columbia University - B.A. Political Science with a Specialization in International Relations.
Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude

Joseph Biden:
University of Delaware - B.A. in History and B.A. in Political Science.
Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)

vs.

John McCain:
United States Naval Academy - Class rank: 894 of 899

Sarah Palin:
Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester
North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in Journalism

Education isn't everything, but this is about the two highest offices in the land as well as our standing in the world. You make the call.

Great. So you are saying is that yes, you are deflecting? Ok, I can understand that. Obama and Obama supporters also do that. Politics 101 at its best.

So now let's get back to the biggest problem of all. Economy. Will people be voting for Bush's third term or for a change? As an ex-republican, I have to say, we need change.

It is sad to read about the responses
from people who can condemen a person
when they know it was a witch hunt.I
also have to laugh at blameing one
man (BUSH) for all our troubles. The
democracts in congress spent
one trillion two hunddred fifty million over budget and paid no attention and thought everything was
alright with our finicial system.People better wake up and see
that you should not just be with one
party with congress rating being so
low you should not vote party but person and vote them out.If you had
a rating at work of 10 to twenty per
cent you would be fired.Just knock
the other party and keep voting for
your party and you will hope they will
have a bread line for you but that won't even happen again.
