Are you kidding me?
McCain cheated on his first wife when she needed him the most and left her for the millionaire drug addict Cindy, and you want to analyze a paper that Michelle Obama wrote?

Has Cindy ever written a thesis, or anything, for that matter?
I know she has pretended some recipes were hers; that she lifted from Rachael Ray..........

Find something else to worry about, seriously!

My take on the misspeaking thing..... I will give politicians a pass on most of it due to this fact. We all misspeak on various things all the time knowing what we mean but something else comes out, only we don't have cameras on us 24/7 to report it as the lead-in news item of the day. Believe me, Bush knows who Putin is and what country he leads, and the difference between sunni and shite, etc, etc, etc... and the same goes for Obama. They are not idiots but everyone jumps on them and says "SEE, I told you he was stupid" Give me a break...

That song kicks butt and the spat with the Chicks was pretty entertaining, but I think for the most part the celebs/singers should just stick to that (exception is Charlie Daniels because he has more common sense than all of us put together) and not use their status to determine the outcome of the elections. There are so many people out there that don't think for themselves and are easily led. I believe that the correct term is "sheeple" that would vote for someone because Britney Spears recommended them. Thats one of the bad things about the country is the celeb worship and all the stupidity that surrounds it.

Point is... I would hate for a close race for the leader of the free world to be decided by a few people that holds out who they would vote for until they hear who Paris endorses before they rush out to vote.... understand???

I DON'T LIKE EITHER ONE OF THEM!!!!!

Is that allowed?

McCain has been a closet liberal for his entire career. He's changed everything but his religion, skin tone, and sexual orientation to get this job! The man will say anything, do anything, and promise anything to get elected, and just carry on where W left off, with his head stuck in the sand telling himself that everything is o.k..

H e l l, even the Iraqies want us out, and he's going to keep us there forever. Lets go back to Afganistan, invade the part of Pakistan where Bin Loudmouth is hiding in his hole.

Obama hasn't got the experience. He now has the perfect platform to get universal health coverage,(Which we all already pay for to the tune of 7000.00 per man, woman, and child in the country, including the illegals...we just don't receive it), but he's espousing some other so called "solution" that is everything but a solution.

So I ain't voting for either of them so far.

Support who you want to, but do it for the right reasons, no just party soundbites.

I think that both parties will say or promise anything to get a vote. It scare me to see so many people say they will vote for obama just because he is a black man, or McCain because he is white. Toby has a right to voice his oponion like any other person, but like any one of us he is just one vote. 9361

I THINK IF TOBY WANTS TO VOTE FOR HIM THAT'S HIS PEROGATIVE. AND HE IS ONLY ONE VOTE, BUT HE CAN SWADE WAY TO MANY PEOPLE ONLY BECAUSE HE IS A STAR. AND THAT PART OF THE REALITY SUXS.
IN MY OPINION NEITHER ONE OF THE CANADATES ARE WORTH A FLIP AND WE SHOULD JUST START ALL OVER FROM THE START AND TRY AGAIN, MAYBE WE CAN GET IT RIGHT THE SECOND TIME AROUND OR MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST ELECT Michelle Obama AT LEAST SHE MIGHT HAVE A POLITICAL HEAD ON HER SHOULDERS. NOW HER CHOICE OF GUYS NOT SO GOOD.

Look...I'm not much on either one of the candidates, but believe me McCain is the better of the two by far. This whole democratic process needs an overhaul as it seems like more and more it is the down to the two worst ones. Don't understand it. Bring back Pat Buchannon!!
Here's a really good question, Danintenn: What exactly makes you think McCain is the better candidate? Another thing: what makes you think the whole democratic process needs an overhaul? If I am seeing and remembering correctly, for the last 8 years, Bush has lead our country into a terrible situation. McCain wants to pick up where Bush will leave off and adopt his methods. I don't think that qualifies him as the better candidate for leading a cub scout troop, much less our country. As for the democratic overhaul, it looks like this country has seen enough of the Republican process.

That's the truth.... sweet and simple. It really is not a matter of race and everyone holds their own key to this whole thing - their own, personal vote.

Can someone help me out with this? Why do some republicans argue the fact that Obama's tax breaks and health care plans is a bad thing when it actually benifits them, and they dont make no where close to $250,000 and complain about their health care? If your rich you have a legitimate argument

..here ya go. First of all I consider myself an ex-republican independent free thinker. I vote for the best man for the job but the republican will always get my first look because of the two parties they are more closely aligned to my values. I can make Rush look like a liberal on some things and moderate on others but hardly ever do I take the liberal side. Just my politically incorrect way of doing things. McCain in the primaries was about my 4th choice on the Republican side. As previously stated, I am not much on either candidate but the better by far of the two is him due to experience and foreign policy. There is a lot not to like about him but I believe that trumps anything that Obama has going for him. For one, I am definitely concerned about Obamas experience and voting record (when he actually was there which wasn't much) in the Senate and am troubled by the Rev. Wright thing and him saying that he didn't realize he was preaching like that. About the only way he could miss that was if he slept through the sermons each Sunday. Abortion is another big issue with me. Don't be fooled by the "Pro-choice" terminology as that is just a way to sugarcoat murder of an innocent child. So my choice is McCain with some reservations and Obama is most certainly the candidate of the secular left which basically rules him out for me.
The democratic process needs an overhaul because for the most part both parties are self serving in their hunger for power at the expense of the people that they are supposed to serve. Someone can go to Washington with a good heart and good intentions only to be corrupted by power and greed. Power is the name of the game and any way you can get it. The electorial college needs to be abolished also and move to popular vote. Sorry, I don't have many answers to how to fix it but the way things are going it needs to be fixed for the better as it is destroying the country with all the self-serving interests. As you say, you prefer the Democrats which was fine say 20 years or so ago. They were more moderate and a Southern Democrat was basically conservative back then. But over the last 20 yrs the Democrats have become more and more out of touch with middle America due to their outrageous views on just about everything and I do mean everything. They have moved so far to the left they are basically either socialist or communist depending on the issue. If you want a Democrat for president with the current bunch of clowns running the Democratic Congress, fine but I know whats coming and I'm heading for the hills as it won't be what you think and it won't be pretty.
Bush has been decent but not great as a president, but when some people talk you would think he had horns and a pitchfork. A lot of things I disagree with him on but as far as the war goes, Afghanistan was definitely on the list of places to go to because of the Taliban, plus a few others like Syria and N. Korea should be on the list. Iraq is more questionable but like a patriotic American, I will fully support the mission of our troops. And if they come back and say we needed to be there then who are we to question them as they are the ones there seeing things we don't hear about. And the news media paints a different picture than what is really happening. Just ask a returning vet about it, they will tell you the real story.

Hope that answers your questions........

"Let me be clear: I will let no one question my love of this country. I love America, so do you, and so does John McCain. When I look out at this audience, I see people of different political views. You did not serve a Red America or a Blue America -- you served the United States of America.

it is too bad he couldn't put the WE in these sentences instead of YOU. Once again Obama has failed miserably. Would he be ready to fight for this county? No but YOU would be.
