If there is "white vs. off-white election", could there be an element of 'black vs. off-black election as well?

Obama is the one to bring changes to America.

To see one of the ways how America may be changed should Obama become president, follow these steps:

1/Open YouTube video "Barack Obama -A More Perfect Union-Part 2"
2/ Click on the user name of the person who is a white man supporting Obama.
3/ Watch the #1 favorite video of the white Obama supporter.

If you are a white man or white woman supporting Obama, remember you are not alone.
The story in the video may be considered as a symbolic way to express how some Obama supporters want things to be changed.

To confirm that such kind of change conforms to the belief system of Obama's church, web search
tucc.org Click BVS.

Yes, it's a whole new ball game. If you are a white man, you need no balls to play the Obama game.

That's only if you're willing to take shit. I love telling off black people, and so do most of my friends. The PC crowd only has as much power as you're willing to give them. If more white people stood up to these jerks, it would take some of the edge off and do this society some good. White people have as much reason to look after the interests of their community as anyone else, so let's not sit around whining about what we can't do in our country!

Just for your info, I checked out the website, and it's clearly intended to be humorous. That won't stop somebody from filing a lawsuit, though. Humor also won't stop others from expressing their own very unfunny biases in response.

<quoted text>The reason blacks are voting for Obama is because he is the most intelligent candidate that we have had in a long time - he just happens to be black - not half-black. This is the same reason other races are voting for Obama - INTELLIGENCE - something that still seems to be amiss in the white comments on this board today. When are you going to learn that it is about intelligence - not race - when are you going to learn??? Your ignorance is astounding -Also - the only reason the term mixed, half-black came into being was that so many white high-end career women were running to have babies with black men - they had to protect their status in the white community - now they want a new term "mixed" to apply to blacks - remember a black was a black until the 1990-2000 era(actually it was the "N" word- remember??)
People want successful change - if a black happens to be the best suited to get us back on the track - THEN LET HIM!!!
What the hell are you talking about? You made sense until you went on something about high powered career women running...that must be your fantasy you little worm. Check the statistics.

Thankfully there are plenty of young white men, white women, hispanics and working class people with some common sense that will vote against your candidate. I'd love to send this to every White male Obama supporter so they know they are being hoodwinked...if they even have some pride left.

Essentially Meghan Daum's article boils down to the following claim:
Barrack Obama's success is wholly due to "affirmative action" as mandated by "whites", blacks, and all "other suspicious sorts" (inference mine).
Its sad that it has come to this; "whites" and "off whites".
I wonder what category Ms. Daum fits into given that the article is meant to be a rallying cry which appears to loudly proclaim: "WHITES UNITE! WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!!!".
Now Hillary Clinton has accused the Obama campaign and the press of "sexism", and Geraldine Ferraro as usual, like Meghan Daum is on the vanguard with her, utilizing their various forms of codespeak to draw groups against each other, ostensibly as a strategy to securing Democratic nomination.
What should they think when snide comments come out from african american, angryasianmales and self-hating whites making snide remarks about white people? I mean seriously, they are even saying "Just keep it quiet until after the election."

Typical. Start yelling and calling names that's your idea of discussion. Not worth my time.
I'd love to know how Obama's supporters are well versed in the issues? When McCain or Clinton speaks, we hear what their goals are and how the will accomplish them. McCain seems to think that he domestic policy isn't important, so I won't be voting for him.

BHO on the other hand, said change 15 times in his Iowa speech and hope 6 times. He didn't once talk about how he was going to somehow pay for all these new teachers, bring education standards above that of NCLB and at the SAME TIME make sure he stays on the short leash of the NEA and other Education industry lobbies. That's a dirty secret for the most liberal senator. He's not going to change jack. He's not going to cut spending unless it's Kosher for his vested interests. He's making sure to tell Iowa how he'll continue the subsidies to relieve our dependence on foreign oil, even though the aleternatives he proposes are inefficient. He's in the pocket of the sierra club, which is why he won't even talk about Nuclear energy. It's good enough to supply power to 80% of France, but anathema here. He won't talk about Coal, even though we have an abundant supply and we're figuring out ways to convert it into gasoline.

Or subsidized healthcare for everyone, even though it isn't working adequately in most countries. Look at Ireland for example, where 70 percent of people characterized as middle class have PRIVATE health insurance, because the public system is so bad. Private health care is growing across Europe, because it's an inefficient system.

Yes, Wright, who Obama has now denounced after making a very good speech stating his view on racial relations in the US. You should watch it - it's very good. Of course, you'll happily ignore that McCain has openly accepted endorsement from Hagee, who is an anti-Catholic, misogynistic, homophobe. Nice double standards.
I want the President to run the US who is best for the job and won the election. That Obama has been 'chosen' by black racists is as irrelevant to me as that McCain has been chosen by Hagee.
"I found solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race" is not actually from 'Dreams of My Father', but rather from a conservative review of it, available here: http://www.amconmag.com/2007/2007_03_12/featu...
But please do carry on lying and saying whatever you damn please about a candidate without checking the facts. It took me two seconds on google to find out the providence of that 'solace' quote. Are you just too stupid to use google, or what? I'd take out all your other falsehoods but frankly as a 'normal sane person' I have better things to do. Use google and find out yourself - it's not difficult.
Hagee is not anti Catholic, what is critical about is the doctrine within the Catholic Church that teaches that Christians have replaced the Jews as the "choosen people".

I wish you leftist eggheads would actually research something.

We rednecks will need some, when Oboma gives away the US Treasury, cause I know we will be put LAST in the give away line, need to look darker.

"But in addition to their dwindling demographic presence and their diminished status, these people constantly battle another head wind: culturally sanctioned mockery. Unprotected by the political correctness that makes deriding other minorities unacceptable or at least uncool, poor whites are often regarded not as people but as mullet-sporting, mobile-home-dwelling vessels of kitsch."

If anyone wants to know why poor whites suffer from "culturally sanctioned mockery", I direct them to pg 6 of yesterday's Tribune.

The article discussed the political opinions among poor whites in Munfordville, KY. One man said he could never vote for Obama because "it's his color". Another man, who happened to be an Obama supporter, said his neighbors would never vote for a black man.

Poor, blue collar southern whites often distrust or dislike anyone not like them--Blacks, Latinos, Asians, foreigners, non-Christians, gays,
intellectuals, etc. And they are a shrinking demographic, so if you put all those other groups together you've got most of the US population. And guess what--if you hate most of the US population, they're going to hate you back.

I am white, I have a college degree, I even have an MBA and I would not want anything to do with anyone on the "White List". This sounds like the worst sort of elitism that could exist. If they are voting for Obama, one more good reason not to. I vote for the person, not the party. If Hillary doesn't run then the next best person is McCain, Obama isn't even on the list of possibles.

I vote for the party not the person. I identify the party that works for my interest and then I back it to the hilt. Voting for "the person" is naive and a sign of a lack of serious political principle.

So even though I prefer Clinton if Obama is nominated I'll vote for him.

There will be other whites on the ballot: Nader, Barr, maybe Paul... Please don't vote for McCain!
