Well Affirmative Action benefits white women more than any other demographic so I don't really see how that program is racist. What do you need a white Caucus for anyhow? out of the 103 Senators 97 are white, seems to me like the status quo is a-ok.

Any impoverished community has higher crime rates. Just happens to be that a lot of impoverished communities in the US are majority black.

You are right.....Crime is HIGHER in Impoverished communities. BUT.......Using "Poor" as an excuse for crime is weak in my opinion.

We need to stop with the excuses and work toward a solution. Keeping people dependant on the government handouts does absolutely NOTHING to help. It just helps a certain political base keep a super huge voting block....nothing more.

It starts at home and bringing good values into it and instilling it into children.

You are 100% correct. I also agree that excessive government handouts lead to dependency but at the same time we cannot stop helping those who genuinely and urgently need assistance. I think that it would be wrong to let those individuals suffer just because there are a few who take advantage of the system...there will always be people who try to get one over the system.

There are solutions to the problems of impoverishment:

1. Make educational opportunity open to all American citizens. Fund schools equally rather than by providing the best education in the communities with the highest tax base.

2. Stop exporting American jobs overseas -- eliminate the North American Free Trade Agreement and any other trade agreements which allow "flat earth" companies raking in profits in the United States to maximize those profits for shareholders by hiring low cost foreign labor.

3. Back unions. They balance the tendency to allow those with money to rake in more profits by paying lower wages for work. Unions tend to set the wage at a "living" level for workers -- assuring those workers earning a wage consume the products they produce.

4. Get smart about "Reaganomics" -- piss on the worker "trickle down" schemes. The concept of reducing taxes on the rich so they can produce jobs is only as good as the companies providing those jobs being able to sell their products. If they're allowed to pay the workers less to assure "jobs" and the government is allowed to tax those workers more than the rich people that hire them, the workers have no disposable cash to buy the products the "new jobs" produce. If there is no consumption, there is no need to hire people for "new jobs" because no one is buying the goods.

6. Assure small businesses succeed. It's a fallacy that Reaganomics (that which allows the rich people to feed the poor people their piss) benefits entrepreneurs. Self-made individuals have borrowed and stole to get ahead. Those who try to do it by hard work fail, because they cannot come up with the type of money necessary to make a business succeed.

I grew up in the South, in the 60's. That's when there WAS a race problem. The Civil Rights Act was passed, and Affirmative Action was enforced to get the culture to change.

Forty years have passed.

You are right....but tougher guidelines need to be set.

You have 5 years on govt assistance....after that NEVER AGAIN. If in 5 years, you can't educate yourself to get a new job and get out of the hole you are in proves to me that you are useless and a burden to society.

People have become dependant on handouts.

If Obama or Hillary get in office I can promise you a form of Amnesty will be granted. They all the poor black and white Citizens of this country....whose ancestors helped build it ....well, they will be screwed. Just my opinion.
