Bush is smiling because he and Cheney have just worked out all of the bugs in their secret weather machine.

This year they will finish the job that they started when they created huricane Katrina.

Figgs....where have you been for the last 2 decades?

Wake up then get your ears checked....Clinton keeps trying to get Obama back on the issues instead of him carping the same things over and over again.

The real question is why is Obama getting such a cushy number from the press?

Maybe this is why the chimp is smirking

I can think of only 2 reasons:-

1) They are just waiting until he gets the nomination, then the media can tear him to shreads and then 4 more years of neocon rule.

2) He's a fake or a gold digger.
Maybe even a closet Neocon..in through the back door.

Tinfoil hat time .....Remember Antonio Rezco friend of 20years with connections to Nadhmi Auchi the British/ Iraq born billionaire. John O Brennan an advisor to Obama and the passport scandal:-

I couldn't find who owns this British company.
Could this be a another Halliburton or worse.

The real question is why Obama is getting "cushy treatment" from the press? I thought it was "how".

As far as where I've been the past two decades, I've been watching the Shakespearean tragedy that is Hill-Billy unfold. Hubris was the downfall of Hillary. Unfortunately, she's decided to bring the entire electorate down with her.

By the way, if scandal is what we're going to talk about, let's take a look at your beloved, shall we?

Travelgate
Filegate
Whitewater
Chicago Futures Market (Cattlegate)
Vince Foster
Zippergate
Chinagate
Huma Abedin
Excelsior and countless other "shell companies"
Tax Fraud
Marc Rich
FALN
Edgar and Vonna Jo Gregory
Carlos Vignali
Almon Glenn Braswell
Attack on 12-year-old rape victim in court
ATLA
Castle Grande
Billing-gate
William Kennedy
Lippo Group
Dan Rostenkowski
Margaret Milner Richardson
Henry Cisneros
etc. etc. etc.

And I voted for Bush to get away from the scandals. And this is why I will not vote again, unless someone unique comes along, and I don't know who that is.

>campaigned against nation building (Iraq)
>campaigned on cutting spending,(deficits and debt)
>Never talked to Bob Gates, James Baker, or his father about Iraq
>Neo-cons in the White House convinced Bush to attack Iraq
>Osama Bin Laden still not caught
>cost of war into the trillions
>never had enough soldiers
>Mexican border still open
>refuses to pardon the two border agents doing their job
>cheap labor for business
>said "Brownie your doing a heck of a job while people suffer
>Always said he did not know about something, while it is inconceivable that he didn't.(conference before Hurricane Katrina, Iran NIE report, etc.
>ignoring our infrastructure and spending billions in Iraq
>expands medicare
>wanted Social Security one way. No compromise
>Tom Delay closed the door to democrats
>Karl Rove closed the door to democrats
>Four amendments to the constitution at risk
>using signing statements on laws passed then interprets the law his way
>Uses his attorney general as his lawyer and not the lawyer for the constitution
>loses his own congress
>Harriet Myers debacle
>Scooter Libby and scandals
>ignorance, arrogance, incompetence
>Bush looks at things one way or no way
>deficits every year of his presidency in which Clinton had surpluses
>the dollar going down the tubes
>middle class jobs being lost, also pensions, and healthcare
>47 million without healthcare
>vetoes embryonic stem cell research funding two times on religious grounds
>the manipulation of power by Dick Cheney
>Putting religion in government
>introduces ethanol, which does not do anything to our energy problems.
>backed out of FutureGen project, after making promise
>missing e mails
>assigning functions to the Justice department, conflict of interest to protect
agencies to withhold information
>decline in medical research for five years

I agree. Little Bush is undoubtedly the worst president this country has ever seen. My argument is that Clinton offers nothing more than the same old tired corrupt dummy politics of the past.

Figgs have you ever heard of the right wing attack machine?....you know the sort that swiftboated Kerry.

I know it's hard to find the truth..when its people like you keep spewing out the lies...spamming everything.

Maybe you should start with this one.
Whitewater...if you ever really knew what it was about in the first place.

The "Skull and Bones" of Yale University fame came over from Germany as part of the "Masons" secret society for "elite" individuals. Granddaddy Prescott, 41 and 43 were all members, as was Kerry. Imagine, all three laying in a coffin filled with mud while masterbating! Our "leaders" in training! Where does "W" keep his hands when he smirks?

He's keeping a secret diary that lists every messup that he's done for his whole life: he knows that when new Jerusalem is sighted, floating down from outer space, he can get his list out and start confessing really fast in time to get repentance and all his penance done before the joy ship leaves without him -- the only problem he has is St Peter can't understand his pronunciation of "nucular" so we all may end up in Hell if he says, "antracks," instead of "anthrax"

He is smiling because the current situation in this country does not affect him. The exploitation of 3rd world countries that is driving the capitalist machine and the 12 million willing indentured slaves from Mexico are making him and his cronies even richer. To him, this accomplishment is a job well done and that is why he is smiling. He also knows that whoever takes his place will continue the trend.

The only people that will "interfere" with "our elections" are the Freemasons. Since day one in this country they have been manipulating the so called government. That is why this country is in such a screwed up mess. Oh, but the next election will "fix everything".....
Oh, I'm sure you people won't miss the opportunity to hang this on your favorite enemy. We have become such great scapegoaters in this country. No wonder morons like George Bush can take over so easily.

"Fixing everything" is as much our jobs (yours and mine) as it is the next President's. We have to get up off our dead lazy asses and start doing some real work. We need to start reading, thinking, and learning how to clear out the cobwebs of old prejudices and hangups and start recognizing when we have some qualified people in our midst to lead us for the sake of the country. And we need to get the cajones to demand accountability from our leaders and never again allow the likes of George Bush to use this country as his personal plaything. But most of all, we need to drop the labels, stereotypes, and start looking at each other as fellow humans rather than the "enemy". We're all in this together....young, old, black, white, yellow, sky blue pink, Democrat, Republican, male, female, Catholic, Protestant, Hindu.....I think you get the picture. No one set of "problems" is more important than another. We need to start thinking in terms of "human liberation"....freeing ourselves of the old ideas and ways that hold us forever in the last century. It's time to make the most important decision we'll ever make, if this country is going to survive.

Before he caved in to Bush, I would have liked to see Colin Powell run for President. He certainly had the military background to give greater insight into foreign affairs. Since he wimped out, I've thought of others who aren't even in the political arena but who would make a good President. One of them is Tim Russert. Another is Brian Williams. Even Dr. Phil would keep folks on their toes and get this country moving again.

Even though Bill Richardson lost his bid for Presidency, I wouldn't mind seeing him as Vice President. I think we have many good possibilities that we completely overlook....many good people right under our noses.

The only thing in the world right now with lower approval ratings than Dubya is the Democratic-controlled congress. Pelosi has failed to lead and outline a vision. Harry Reid has been the face of impotency more than the face of his party on the senate floor. Hillary's childish antics have cost the Democrats the presidency while Spitzer's immaturity has dominated the late-night talk show circuit for the past two weeks. He has been able to line his and his good buddies' pockets throughout his years as president as is about to get away with it. He was the first president with the audacity to take the Constitution of the United States, tear it up, stomp on it with glee and COMPLETELY GET AWAY WITH IT. Hell, he was even able to marry off his portly homely-looking alcoholic daughter. Little Bush has plenty to smile about.
I agree with just about all you've said here, Figgs. The Democrats have their share of problems and shortcomings just like the Republicans. Can you imagine how foreign countries view us now? It must look like the Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight. To think of how far we've fallen and how much we've lost is a stomach-wrenching experience.

How?
The "how" to Barack Obama is conveniently missing from all his articulate speeches.
They sure sound good, but where is his strategy?
Obama made his strategy very clear when he told us that rehabilitating this country will require the collaborative effort of ALL of us...and not just as voters. We have a responsibility to drop the old grievances among ourselves and start pitching in together to heal this country. A good start would be to start holding our leaders accountable for their actions, and never again dropping the ball on our democracy like we did when we allowed Dubya to get away with stealing that first election. From there on out, all we did was empower him all the more.

Obama's philosophy closely resembles John Kennedy's famous speech, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but rather what you can do for your country". Only if we make a personal investment of ourselves will we ever again regain the pride of ownership it takes to bring us home again and restore our place in the world.
