The government can't keep its own secrets. What makes you think it will beable or even try to keep yours. As in with a DNA profile they will know if you have certin medical predispositions which could keep you from jobs or insurance. To give up one is to open up the door for the rest to be taken. I don't think the average person needs a hand gun but I am not willing to take that right from them because I like the right to have my shotguns and rifles. Thank you, very touching. I have been doing some research and some of the things you find are so scary you wonder if it is out there just to scare us or what? If 1/2 of what I have researched is true it almost seems like sex offenders, killers, etc... are going to be the least of our worries at some future date.

You got the wrong idea! You keep thinking that way and the government will be in every part of your life. You will care then and it won't matter whether you are honest or not. I don't have anything to hide either but I don't want to worry about my government keeping tabs on me just cause they want to.

We had a FISA court set up years ago that in the event the Feds were investigating a crime or possible crime they could start a wire tap and then have 72 hours to get a warrant. They don't have to do that now. They can run servalence and who cares if it is justified. We have a President who signs laws but then uses the "signing statement" to say you have to abide by the law but he doesn't have to.

I guess its ok with you that since you have nothing to hide all the phone numbers you call are being tracked.

I guess its ok with you that when you pay more than 20% of the balance of any credit card your name gets reported to "Homeland Security".

You think that when the government starts something like this they will only do it for the reasons they say or will they decide to expand it to everyone?

How about we just take DNA from every baby when they get their required shots in their first few years of life.

If you don't do anything wrong and have nothing to hide then it should be ok with you if your neighbor spies on you or listens in on your conversations. Maybe you can write to your local newspaper or start your own blog every week and keep us all posted on your daily life. You can even include the things you don't do wrong.

And I agree here. I can see if someone is charged with a crime, but not just because he is arrested.

You can't force innocent people to submit to unwanted procedures. And then to have that information to be collected.

Guns, as detailed, were and are only legally held by those in gun clubs, and those with a designated reason for having them. After Dunblane, handguns were banned,(rifles, shotguns were not banned, they continue to be controlled).
