<quoted text>those would be the words of a person who truly has slept in a bush or two. I know I have done the same many times, looking at areas thinking to myself that in the event I end up in dire straits again, I can see a place I can sleep and be relatively safe for the night or two.
This is kind of sad that in a country supposedly as well-off as America that anyone would even have a passing thought of sleeping on the street because they'd hit hard times.

U.S. economy lost 51,000 jobs in July
The nation's unemployment rate climbed to a four-year high of 5.7 percent in July as employers cut 51,000 jobs, dashing the hopes of an influx of young people looking for summer work.

Hate to say this, but you'd BETTER think about it. It may become more prevelant with the libs and the congress we have that insists on importing labor....
I congratulate you for winning my personal award for the stupidest comment of the day. Even a person who drags his opinions from the bottom of a whiskey bottle should know that the GOP, in the person of the Resident Moron, has been responsible for enforcing border security and immigration law for the last 7 years.

Their corporate paymasters are thrilled with the pool of cheap labor they have created. And the GOP gets to convince you and the other stupids that its the Dems fault.

And only the people of the nation get hurt. For the GOP, its a win-win situation.

You sure like telling people they forget "one tiny little thing."

Twice in three comments... I really don't know what your point was with this comment. I realize he has a job, so what exactly was your point?

I have a news flash for you guys. Mr. Bush isn't the only person responsible for a lot of this mess. Greed does not necessarily know political lines. We have a lot of fools in Congress and other parts of state and federal government that were either partakers in some of the wealth grabbing or sleeping at the wheel!

Stop blaming republicans when your own dems there now are squabbling over who's taking the riches... Next time, research, research, research and vote who's qualified. Don't vote based on the smear campaigns from the idiot box! Vote based on some form of intelligence, or you'll have 4 more years of the same decline! Lets get it together people.

All too well. Recall that is. I will elaborate later this evening. Even though I put in five hours to sometimes six a day, its massively focused nose to the grind stone eye hand cordination work, and its Power Nap time. lol

Actually it was the Gramm-Leach-Bailiey Act Clinton signed off on in 1999 which destroyed the Federal Resereve Safe guards in the 1933 Glass-Steagle act which led directly to the sub prime debacle.

Fanny spent 180 million last year in lobbying. Thier CEO walks away with a quarter billion. Did you know Freddie Mack is in McLane virginia? lol

This is the same Bill Clinton who foolishly sold off America's Strategic Oil Reserves out of fear of Saudi Arabia and in an effort to make his economic figures look better than they were. It took President Bush 7 years to refill the Oil Reserves and now the Democratic Congress has stopped the refilling with legislation passed this year.

And the Democratic run city of Atlanta led the way with a thousand job cuts in their mismanaged and failed administration. All of shirley franklin's friends in city government just got big pay raises last month while city workers hit the streets, never to return.

Atlanta taxes are up, corruption is up, crime is up, shirley franklin's travel budget is up!

I did, and he is right. This guy chooses to be homeless. He says in the article that he prefers sleeping under the stars as opposed to having some drunks walking into his motel door.

The point is, 2-3k a month is MORE than enough for an apartment. Living in a tent to save money instead of spending rent is his choose. However the title of this article is b.s. they make it sound as if despite his hard efforts he can't afford a place to live. But he can, and chooses not to. Big difference than actually being unable to afford a place. And I am sure him living in the park is a great solution, in fact, everyone who wants to save a few hundred a month should just move to their local park. After all, that is what they are there for, for us to live when we decide we are too cheap to pay rent.

Put another way, the US employment rate is 94.3%. Sounds good to me. Under Carter it was over 11% unemployed.

Yep! The same Bill Clinton that allowed two supercomputers forbidden from Export to go to China. That same Clinton meglomaniac who has a trail of dead around him longer then yellow brick road he orchestrated for himself. That lied under oath scoundrel who saw to it Secretary Ron Brown got a sudden assignment to the Balkans NOT in his intinerary, phone call you must go thing, only to be murdered ( ahem die in a plane crash?_) before he was to testify about the crook from Arkansas, which would surely have cost Slick willy the election.

Gay people raise property value. It's true. Look at just about any city. Gay neighborhoods cost more to live in because they're so coveted. They're generally clean, low crime areas where educated people with good taste live. Not all of them mind you, but a lot of them. Most of them even.
San Fransisco is like one big gay district, complete with gay china town. You can make seventy grand a year and be homeless. I bet you this is due, at least in part, to how many gay people there are. I'm not trying to gay bash or blame homelessness on homosexuals, I'm just saying, they raise property value.
my 20 yr old daughter lives in a gayborhood.. that is what they call it not me, i thought it was cute when she told me..now how we were talking about it, she lived in another neighborhood (moved last month), lots of crime I worried constantly, the other nite I was watching the news , san antonio drive bys were picking back up , i said put the fridge in front of the door so i can sleep and you'll be safe, she says "don't worry momma i live in a gayborhood", i was set aback a moment and asked her what the gays thought of her reference, she said they were the ones who told her that was what they called it. She pays very low rent , her place is really cute and roomy for 450 a month. hope it stays cheap enough to keep her safe and me rested.
