Beijing. Workers are celebrating in the streets and thanking America’s Jobs Czar for moving so many high-paying, high tech jobs to their communities today. The only problem is, they are Chinese workers throughout China.

Jeff Immelt is not only President Obama’s Jobs Czar, he is also the CEO of General Electric. In addition to being the parent company of all the NBC family of broadcasting networks, GE is also one of the largest military contractors in the US.

GE CEO Jeff Immelt called China the company’s “second home market”. Today, it might appear the Communist country led by a military dictatorship is General Electric’s new ‘first home’.

In an announcement today, GE said it is moving the company’s headquarters in charge of X-Ray technology to China. In an effort to increase sales to the giant Asian nation, and cut costs in the process, the largest manufacturer of imaging machines in the world is closing its US headquarters after 115 years. Until now, GE’s X-ray business was headquartered in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Former Ambassador to China Jon Huntsman says "There is no other relationship [U.S.-China] in the world that, if mismanaged, carries greater long-term negative consequences for the U.S., the Asia-Pacific region, and the world" ("How to Manage the China Relationship," op-ed, May 7).

To reduce the danger, he proposes these policy "pillars": Strengthen the U.S. economy or "anticipate greater Chinese assertiveness and foreign policy adventurism"; make "economics and trade ... drive our foreign policy and Asia strategy"; with allies, "hedge against ... an aggressive China and People's Liberation Army"; honor our values to deserve a "U.S.-China relationship based on shared values—should leaders in the Communist Party eventually embrace liberal reforms."

The analysis ignores two realities: Eight American presidents essentially have followed that precise set of policies, and they haven't worked. After four decades of economic, diplomatic, cultural and military engagement, the core of China's government and military still see the U.S. as an implacable enemy out to end Communist rule. And they are right on the latter point: "liberal reforms" and "shared values"—those enshrined in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which China has signed but not ratified—would replace the Leninist system with multiparty democracy. For China, "shared interests" does not include aspiring to "shared values." Discarding illusions, we should press for political reform.

Given the choices though....a Muslim or a Mormon, I will have to vote for Johnson who is a Christian. Besides he actually believes in a small limited government-like a real conservative. Obama is a liberal and from what Romney did to Massachusetts I question Romney.

As a Christian I cannot vote for a Mormon with God watching over me. The Republican Party could have done better. I will not be sitting this one out. I will vote for Johnson instead of compromise my faith.

Both the liberal Democrat Muslim Kenyan and the liberal RINO Mormon Mexican have raised "fees" on the American people to pay down their debt. Only one true conservative can stop big government and the spending: Gary Johnson! Restore America!
