Poll shows McCain in 5-point lead over Obama

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - In a sharp turnaround, Republican John McCain has opened a 5-point lead on Democrat Barack Obama in the U.S. presidential race and is seen as a stronger manager of the economy, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.

McCain leads Obama among likely U.S. voters by 46 percent to 41 percent, wiping out Obama's solid 7-point advantage in July and taking his first lead in the monthly Reuters/Zogby poll.

The Main Stream Media has to start getting us ready to think that McCain can win. That way when the election fraud boxes actually anoint him king, many people won't think it impossible that Americans are really that stupid.

Zogby's results have been getting increasingly wild over the last few years as people cancel their landlines and move to cell phones. This particularly affects Zogby because they use a computer instead of a live operator. People are much more likely to hang up immediately on computer voices than on human voices. Zogby has always been considered experimental for this reason. Real Clear Politics and Polling Report don't even list Zogby among their compilations.

The expanding use of cell phones poses a problem for all polling firms, and since people working multiple jobs and young people are exclusively reached by cell phones, all polls are likely to under count Obama's support.

Lastly, the swiftboating of Obama by the GOP is likely affecting the older demographic because they still depend on the networks exclusively for most of their information. These represent the majority of people who are home to answer landlines and talk to a computer.

This is a donkey trick. This so called 5 point lead is supposed to get more BHO supporters out to cast their vote hoping the other side will sit back thinking they don't need to take the time off from work to go vote. This happened on Clinton's second run.
Has anyone ever received a call asking who they intended to vote for? I haven't and don't know of anyone who ever has. It's a BS tactic they use.

BHO is getting tired and it shows. McCain is 25 years his senior and has energy of a 35 year old. Obama is gonna collapse and show the world that he can't run this country. The only thing he'll be good for is holding a lantern in front of the white house entrance.

McCain's presidency is in the bag.

I support and stongly urge people to vote John McCain in as president.
I found him to be somewhat competent when we attended anger management sessions and it never bothered me when he used dirty talk to get his feelings across to others.

Liar! You just don't want people to see the DOD intercept that proves that McCain is a treasonous collaborator and that the story behind his medals was faked by his father to hide his treason.

The GOP doesn't want anyone to know why McCain refuses to release his military records.

Anyone worried about viruses can go to majorgeeks dot com and download the AVG Free antivirus program. I've been using it for years and so has my son. Never a problem.

I guess that's why he only campaigns 4 days a week and does only one campaign event a day.

Obama has been campaigning solidly for 17 months. doing 2 or three events a day.

McCain is really starting to surge now. Looks like he will lead Obama in all polls shortly. I think the issues of experience and leadership are starting to hurt Obama in the eyes of many voters now.

As the election nears, Obama is unable to fall back on his "I'm for change" rhetoric. At some point he is going to have to provide more accurate solutions to the problems the country faces rather than the vague responses that tend to confuse more than enlighten. The shine is finally starting to wear off.

It's funny. Obamanites are so in denial. Obama has been sliding downhill ever since his dubious associations became pulic. It was only his staunch black support in the democrat party that gave him enough delegates after Wright, Pfleger and Ayers became known. He never won another state.
Bad news ... in the general election you get 0 electoral votes for coming in second ... unlike the primaries.

I am not a big McCain supporter, by the way ... but Obama is a joke... a bad joke.
The writing is on the wall ... but too many Obamanites are illiterate.

As I predicted a while ago, McCain will end up winning fairly easily. There are still a LOT of people in this country who will not vote for a black man as president.

Obama has been on slow slide ever since the Iowa caucuses. Hillary just could not catch up. Hillary could win. This country will reject Obama, not because he's black, but because he is wholly unqualified to run the local public library, much less the largest organizatio in the world.

Axelrod's strategy was simple-opacity and lack os specificity. Great theory. However, if one candidate gives clear answers and the public sees his opponent as an evasive double-talker, who has the advantage?
