I think I should point out something about "the king has no clothes". He is a troll. Unfortunately, he is also apparently very good at it. I have viewed and posted on several forums and he has been spewing the same rhetoric on all of them. I do not know what his true agenda is, but I and many others, have noticed a trend. He will not answer your questions directly, his posts are generally unrelated to the topic, and he disrupts the continuity of the topic threads.
Respond to him at your own risk.
Thanks...Now back to the debates!
He is nothing of the sort. He's just a little too smart for you. He is on topic. I have read some of your posts and understand why you might not get it.

One explanation of pseudo intellectualism means lacking the background knowledge and experience to have an informed opinion.
All he is doing is repeating the typical GOP talking points in a format that tries to show bravado and intellectualism. When in reality it hides fear.
Patriotism as used by the right has begun to mean nothing more than hate. The right also seems to think they are the living example of the word.
ditto about the left...

You and your ilk absolutely deserve EXACTLY what you have coming. Your idiocy reminds me of the cheering university students as Pol Pot rolled triumphantly through the streets of Phnom Penh. The American version of the Khmer Rouge has already taken over your country and started secret prisons, torture, and who knows what else and idiots like you are cheering and supporting this dramatic loss of freedom.
In the not too distant future, when ALL Americans are considered "terror suspects" and you and your loved ones are marched out to the killing fields by your beloved Gestapo, keep in mind that you have been begging for this to happen to you and your loved ones and NOBODY on earth deserves it as much as you do.
As I said before you are a DUMB ASS! The big difference in me and you is that I can protect MY own ass you accept what everyone tells you and bend over and spread your cheeks! "DUMMIE"
Bravado cannot protect against an oppressive government. Police-state governments have the ability to neutralize resistance and change the rules to insure you have no effective means to resist their will. Obscenity and braggadocio are not effective against an oppressive police-state. Those with the weakest arguments tend to be far more likely to resort to obscenity.

You sir, have a warped mind, at best brainwashed at worst a flat out spreader of misinformation, ie. BS.
The country you post from executes far and away more if it's citizens than any country on the planet.
You and your ilk already have what they deserve. Nothing.
Glad you are there. Would not want to be you.

You asinine comment that my country has "nothing" is not only inaccurate but demonstrates your arrogance. My poor country is paying your bills. Your country is deeply in debt and my country has been supporting your spending sprees by loaning your country money on a massive scale.

Speaking of standards of living, my country has among the highest rates of economic growth on earth. We have more cell phones than all the rest of the world combined. We have a pretty good standard of living these days and it is getting better by the day. It would be even better if we were not supporting you and were instead investing in our own country.

There seems to be one common thread amongst the posters in support of the torture interrogation techniques. All of them seem to be consumed by the rampant fear of renewed terrorist attacks.

"Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." -Hermann Goering

* Of free speech unless their statements are not complimentary to the state
* Of protest unless they are protesting lack of food

* Of worship, unless they choose to attend a church not state sponsored

Why hasn't congress impeached BushCo? THAT IS A REALLY GOOD QUESTION. I've said over and over we have an unresponsive government on both sides of the isle. Bush was in office for 7 1/2 months before 9-11. After taking the entire month of August off for vacation, presided over the worst security failure in US history. During that time the brief left by Clinton entitled "‘Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US’' on Condi's desk was ignored as was the Phoenix memo. Why?

If you have been paying attention, you'll see I am quite capable of Independent thought and writing out a substantive argument. Are you?

Things you have to believe to be a Republican today:

Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime,
unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an
illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

The United States should get out of the United
Nations, and our highest national priority is
enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

Government should relax regulation of Big Business
and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use
marijuana to relieve the pain of illness.

"Standing Tall for America'" means firing your
workers and moving their jobs to India.

A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her
own body, but, multi-national corporations can make
decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of
homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

The best way to improve military morale is to praise
the troops in speeches while slashing veterans'
benefits and combat pay.

Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless
you someday run for governor of California as a
Republican.

If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents
won't have sex.

A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our
long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and
money.

HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of
the public at heart.

Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy.
Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk
science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad
guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when
Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush
needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

A president lying about an extramarital affair is an
impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist
support for a war in which thousands die is solid
defense policy.

Government should limit itself to the powers named
in the Constitution, which include banning gay
marriages and censoring the Internet.

The public has a right to know about Hillary's
cattle trades, but George Bush's driving record is
none of our business.

You support states' rights, which means Attorney
General John Ashcroft can tell states what local voter
initiatives they have a right to adopt.

What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital
national interest, but what Bush did in the '80s is
irrelevant.

Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is
communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital
to a spirit of international harmony.

This is unconstitutional. Many of the Bush administrations policies have no reguard for the founding principles this nation was built on. The craziest part about all of this? He's getting away with it. He's above the Law. He,his fellow bonesman, and numerous other associates of his are walking all over the constitution. If you dont beleive me... Review the constitution and it's amendments. The constitution is nothing like the bible. You cannot read for your own interpretation. There are words set in stone. The words are very clear. They state that torture is unconstitutional. They need to be overturned by our generals.

Actually, my third son just spent two months in China and was amazed at how much personal freedom they have. He was in a city of 2 million people and the police don't carry guns. I think your list is out dated. As far as human rights go....

US thrown off UN rights body

The United States has lost its seat on the UN body which investigates human rights abuses throughout the world.
It is the first time the US will not be a member of the 53-nation Human Rights Commission since it was set up in 1947.

Hey Easy Ed...

Let's not let these characters do what they do best. You are a great poster. Please don't fall for the BS.

I appreciate your input, whether you agree or disagree with me. However, we will be totally off-topic shortly if if we allow these trolls to dissuade us. That seems to be their intent.
