That is what it is going to be sooner or later. The world is going to realize (ala Star Trek) that having different 'countries' is stupid and go to ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT.
Whether that government is good or bad will depend on a few things: who creates it (if it is Britain or Australia who creates it, it will be good. US, Russia or China.... it will be bad, very bad in the case of the latter two), when it is created, and whether ALL people's rights (children included) are respected and everyone is made equal under the law, including children.
