Born and raised in the Great State of O-H-I-O, Cincinnati to be more exact, and I just have to say, Once a Buckeye, Always a Buckeye.....Go Bucks....I have since followed the calling of the Lord to South Central Kentucky, in the heart of Wildcat Country....But I love it, I do miss the convenience of a city, but I love the small town life, a slower paced life

I am originally from Whitesboro,NY and now reside in metro Atlanta. People ask my "why did you leave the Utica area?" The list of reasons is long, and I will list the main ones. 1.Taxes:I was paying in 2003 $2700 on a 77k home in New Hartford and now pay only $1500 on a 160k home. 2.Lack of activities for young people-lets face it,Utica can't even support a baseball team anymore-thats sad. When the last hockey team left, that was it for me.3.Weather. If you like the cold winters and 6 weeks of actual summer you get in the Mohawk Valley, then I guess you have nothing to complain about. I like the fact that summers down here don't end on Labor day,and my pool remains open through October. 4.Small town blues. This goes without saying in a dwindling, economically depressed area like Utica. Utica will never change, only get worse. Good example-in 2002 I was very close to getting the owner of the BC Icemen to move his franchise to Utica. Julian,in his infinite wisdom, decided Utica college hockey, with its dozen or so home games was a better idea. I guess growth is always out of the equation in Utica;so pathetic.

I was born and raised in R-Can-Saw (Arkansas to non-natives) moved around the country after college and eventually settled back close to home, but far enough away for the family to stay out of my business. Lots to do here if you like the outdoors.

I was raised in Oakhurst, TX. I now live in Houston. I thought I would NEVER say these words but, "I miss that small town!". As a youngster I could not wait to move to the big city. Now I like the idea of completing a thought without the non-stop noise of this city.

I was born, raised and lived in Delaware all my life. Positive point no sales tax. Would like to retire to Florida. But would have to bring my whole family. Would definitely not leave my girls and especially my grandchildren. So we are her to stay. So this will be our home. Of course,we could always win the lottery. Right!!!

I was born and raised in Ky. I have lived in North Carolina, Va.,Atlanta, Ga. and now I am In Mississippi. I fell in love with Virginia and it's beautiful mountains. As for Atlanta that is the worst place I have ever been let alone to live. Rude people!!!!!!!!!! Kentucky will always be my home even though when I do go there I say that I can't wait to get out of there. I haven't figured out if I like Ms. yet although I am sure it is better than Atlanta.

I went to school at University of Miami, let's just say that New Yorkers haven't made the place any better. |

Let's see... Born in Cleveland Ohio, grew up in Goldsboro NC (could not WAIT to get out of that place) and have since lived in; England, Arizona, California, Oklahoma and now I'm back in California. I love it here and if I get my way will stay here the rest of my life. I do ocasionaly miss the long, warm, sandy beaches of North Carolina but not enough to go back.
