As if any of this stuff is going to harm us more than the disgustingly polluted air, ground and water we already have. Remember when cancer was the Big C? Now every family has some, and it is not a result of poor breeding.

The kids in our family are are all 6 - 8 inches taller than us, have better skin, eyes, teeth, bones, etc., but will be more likely to contract a fatal disease. My parents worried about heart attacks and old age.

"For the most part?" So what does that mean? And what is the "limited risk?"

Are they still going to outlaw or ban the "Clone Free" package labeling?

Last I heard in the news, non clone producers will not be allowed to state such product specific information on their packaging.

Wake up people we`ve been eating cloned meat for 5 years now. Our babies come out the womb already knowing how to walk and it will only get weirder.

Don't worry about this. Cloned animals is not something that will be anywhere close to common any time in the near future. At present, it takes dozens if not hundreds of attempts to get one viable clone.

That is not economically worth the effort.

After all, the normal method works just fine, and is a heck of a lot cheaper. Even if they could get it to the point where cloning works first time every time, the lab expense is still going to make cloning a lot more expensive than nature.

The FDA approves this but not organic, holistic or herbal food and medicines? You know why? The FDA is on the take. The people working there go back and forth from the same private industry that they are supposed to be regulating. It's a farce.
Don't touch this stuff and protect your children from it too. 20 years from now they will be telling you how f'd up it is, but then it's too late.
Agreed!

However, please >DO< take note of the fatalistic replies posted here before you or I did: THEY DON'T CARE.

Which is quite fine by me! The sooner they die off as a result of all the crap they've been eating, that will leave just that much more oxygen to breathe, and just that much more room to grow natural foods!

Remarks on tombstone:

Here he lies, totally wasted,
His body polluted, and GMO basted,
He totally ignored the warnings of yore,
He stuffed his mouth with poisons galore!
Those corporate foods with insecticides,
And all the preservatives and diglycerides,
Finally he succumbed, and gave up the ghost,
But his body is too fouled for the Heavenly host,
So here he lies, polluting the land,
Cloned, modified, artificial, and banned!

Of course it is. There's no telling what scientific advancements we will reap as a result of this research.

And it's pissing off the fundies, so it's a win-win.:-)

This is a good reason to become a vegetarian, but also a great reason to start growing your own food.
