Notice how it started with yelling fire, now our first is so perverted you cant express an opinion without being labeled a racist. Next will be dont question authority or die. How far are you willing to go for so called "common practice" laws. Same thing with the second. The law abidding citizens wont abuse their firearms, even those "assult rifles". First they ban assult rifles, now they are going for semi's then all guns. Then we will be defenseless. Then we are in trouble
We already are....this from a Minneapolis post where a guy with drugs in his system, got into an accident and was tasered once, pulled from his vehicle, tasered twice more while being held down on the ground and died on the way to the hospital.

Comment:
Now there is a typical police mentality. There is never any shame when they conceal evidence, violate Miranda, extract false confessions or railroad an innocent man either.

While I certainly do not want to disband police, the truth is that many of them are little better than the people they arrest, they just wear better uniforms.

Of course there are some idealists who are actually interested in helping people, the rest are just the final repository of the school yard bullies we all used to know.

And this from another who regularly posts:
The concept of Police, let alone a Police State, would have been inconcievable to the Founders.

Using Law, to force social change would have been a reason for another Revolution to the Founders.

The law is what we the people are supposed to decide upon, not what the New Ruling Class (Government Employees and Lawyer Politicians).

And one more post from an officer who posts also:
I never took an oath to protect and serve. It used to be on the sides of some police cars, but now there is only the name of the city.

This is where we are now.

There is definitely some authority to take the guns out of citizens hands any way possible. They will bend the 2nd amendment as much as they can. Even if he manages to get some of them back, he will be on the radar for future harrassment.

And WHAT would you use two 50 caliber machine guns for, even if they have been converted to be only semi-automatic?
And what in the hell business of yours is it as to WHAT they are used for?

Gentleman I have been giving this a lot of thought, my generations want to give are children more than we had has created a lot of entitled children. I was raised in the height of the depression, My dad made 42.00 a week and we thought we were rich. We planted gardens in any vacant lot my dad could find and my mom would can the food for winter. I saw 2 brothers lose there life’s in WW2 and buy the grace of god I made it out of Korea . Like many of my generation I was blessed to make a great living I put five kids thought collage and have provided enough for all my grand children to go to the best collages. This is just what you do. On the negative side my grand children have the thinking that the life they have is the norm, god I love them but this is the mentality that weakens the fabric of this great land. Gun Show I like your heart. Now this J Seville (O yes blood will run) please grow up, you will never give a good argument with that heading, I have seen blood run Boy, and I never want to see it again.

Thank you for your heart felt sentiment Jack. It is obvious that you came from the generation that has rightfully been termed the "greatest". Unfortunately, I am convinced that we are going to see more blood run, than that which was spilt in ALL the wars we've been in before. This generation will need strength such as yours in order to continue on. Keep the faith.

There was a follow-up to this story in the Sun-Times. It doesn't clarify all the questions I have about this story but it stated that there was a pychiatric disorder that was involved in the original domestic violence complaint. I think on the FOID application there are questions about domestic violence convictions and mental illness. I'm wondering if maybe during that arrest the officers uncovered that there was a lie on the application and that was the reason for the revocation of FOID.

Gun Show,With your intelligence I believe you can be more convincing with these two arguments.
(1) Your Federal government involvement in state laws.
(2) Seizure of personal property
I believe this case could go to the high courts if he can get a better lawyer.
Sometimes it can be a blessing when they go after a man that can afford to defend himself.

Thats what happens when you are rich, too many haters out there that want a free ride, and when you dont give it to them, they snitch on you and try to screw you every which way.
Oh and be easy on the spelling error. this isnt english class
I'm sure he was a ja*off, his various actions (using unqualified traders, arrest for domestic battery arrest, only seen in area when ater main breaks and complaining, keeping large amounts of guns when his FOID was revoked) seem to show he thinks that he is above the law. Essentially, a wannabe mobster

You can hang around with him, but if I saw him on the street, we'd settle it with fists, not guns, cause he probably is a p*ssy.

If he was so worried about others hating him, he would have been smarter about what people knew about him.

Rich people deserve to be screwed when they act like this guy.

Very good and valid points Jack, for it brings in a number of Constitutional principles. The framers of the Constitution knew precisely what they were doing. For, they well knew both the good and bad of human nature and provided for/against it....
