The article is wrong when it says, "Clinton won Florida and Michigan. But the Democratic Party stripped the states of delegates because they held primaries earlier than allowed."

What actually happened is that Florida and Michigan knowingly and deliberately broke the party rules in blatant efforts to gain for themselves a more prominent position in the primary/caucus process. They knew when they did that what the consequences would be. Obama, following the rules, did not campaign in either state, while Hillary just skirting the letter of the law, violated the spirit of it and found ways to get message out there for the "illegal" primary votes.

Then there was the primary and caucus, and guess what, Clinton came out ahead in the improper process. To have those delegates now seated at the convention, would be to fly in the face of everyone who observed the rules. It's those people whom it would be a mistake to offend.

If you wantonly break the rules, you can't stay in the game.

STOP THREATENING TO BOYCOTT TO THE REPUBLICAN SIDE ALSO!!! YOU ARE TRAITORS IF YOU DO, NOT TO MENTION, YOU WILL FOREVER BE LABEL AS SORE LOSERS!!!! IF YOUR VOTE GOES TO THE OTHER SIDE IN THIS, SO FAR A FAIR RACE, STAY THERE!!!!!

As a Floridian Democrat whose vote was nullified, I can attest that Gov. Corzine is right when he says the Democratic Party has disenfranchised millions of us in Florida and Michigan. I'm already filling out my voter registration form to switch from the Democratic Party to an Independent. And I'm not sending one more dollar to the Dems for campaigns. If they don't want my vote, they don't need my financial support, either. Or my vote in November for that matter...

I'm so confused. In one article I read that Clinton is within about a hundred delegates of Obama, in the next he's about one-hundred and fifty ahead. Now I hear people are pushing for Al Gore as the candidate. Why do I feel like this Democrat primary is like one of those street hustlers asking me to put five bucks down and pick the queen of hearts?

Um.... they knew if they held the primary early that they would be "stripped" of thier delegates.... so they strip themselves and then complain because they are naked. what a bunch of fools. They did this to themselves, dont lose sight of that Mr. Corzine

They broke the rules. So now they must pay the price. You can have the voters in Michigan & Florida upset, or if a recount you may have the voters in other states that played by the rules upset.

What part of moving the primaries and consequences of doing so don't you morons get? Oh, we don't want to anger Florida or Michigan.... whine, whine.THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING.

The only reason you are whining is YOU ARE A CLINTON SUPPORTER and the only way she can possibly win is if you idiots change the rules.

God, how stupid can you Clinton people possibly be?

Then you are a fool. Put McCain in because YOUR candidate wants to disregard the rules of the game. Florida and Michigan disenfranchised THEIR OWN VOTERS. Why should cheating be rewarded? But now you're going to McCain. That's real good. Another 4 years in Iraq, andother 4 years of Bush/McCain corporate vs working people policies and even more important, Supreme Court picks like Alito, Roberts or shudder... Scalia. That's a real smart move... not.

But seriously, I wonder how many of these so-called Democrats from Florida or Michigan who post on these forums are Republicans causing divisions?

Surely there aren't that many self-destructive Democrats out there.

Republican hacks posting about Democrats again, you guys are pathetic. Corzine clearly stated he doesn't support just seating the delegates, he and many others want a re-vote. That's perfectly within the rules. Your lies about what Corzine said are so transparent.

The voters from Florida and Michigan should be upset with the democratic party. You cannot say that 2 1/2 million people (through no fault of theirs) cannot have a voice in the selection of the democratic nomination. How would you feel? I will not vote for the democratic nominee if the process is not fair to all voters.

"Agreed, Why does the Obama Campagin keep ignoring the Florida and Michigan vote?"

Do the rules mean anything to you?

"and so they voted earlier...is that the citizen's Fault?"

YES IT IS. You want to hold Obama accountable for what your state leaders did? That is just stupid. How about you hold THEM accountable? I suppose that wouldn't help her cause. What the hell is wrong with you people? Do you understand the concept of consequences? Or do you think you're better than the rest of the states?

"are we punishing the American People for a mistake made by the officials?"

IT'S CALLED ACCOUNTABILITY. Blame anyone but yourselves. It's his fault! It's their fault! It's certainly not ANYONE in Florida or Michigan.

" if this is the Message that the Obama Campaign is trying to send it will certainly lose the General election"

Blah, blah, blah. This is the message the Clinton campaign is sending: that cheating is ok, rules are for chumps and no one will ever be held accountable for their actions.

What happens next election if there are no consequences for moving the primary date? Chaos. But Clinton supporters would rather destroy the party than admit she can't get the nomination without some kind of slick manipulation.

Jeez, people. Get a brain.

Through no fault of theirs? How so? Their state leaders did it to them. How about they take responsibility for what they did instead of blaming everyone else but themselves?

They tried to leap frog ahead of the other states but didn't quite make it. Now they pay for it.

Florida and Michigan voters elected the people who broke the rules and cost them their voice in this election. Why aren't the voters expressing their outrage with those elected officials? If I were a Florida voter, I would be seeking resignations from all who were involved in this train wreck.

I too wonder how the Democratic Party can assume that they have not turned away the voters of those states for the long-term, who seem only able to find a voice, and be heard in the Republican Party.
The fact that Obama has stood in the way of their being able to participate is telling me that this will be his politics of the future.
Also, why is Obama being given a pass on his relationship with the NUCLEAR ENERGY INTERESTS, that help bankroll his campaign. He says he doesn't take donations from special interests, and then takes their backing. This is the man for our future??

The STATE Democrats did this to their own people. Obama had NOTHING to do with it. What part of that aren't you getting? As far as politics of the future? There is a clear choice. The past vs the future.

How pathetic. You can't even address the subject at hand.
