I believe Obama is Himself a Narcissist. These are the DSM-IV criteria for Narcissistic Personality Disorder (five or more listed below in order to make the diagnosis): 1. Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements); 2. Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love; 3. Believes that he of she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions); 4. Requires excessive admiration; 5. Has a sense of entitlement , i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations; 6. Is interpersonally exploitative, ie., takes advantage; 7. Lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with feelings and needs of others; 8. Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her; 9. Shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

While most (if not all) politicians exhibit some or many of these characteristics to one degree or another, one has to meet at least five of these criteria for the diagnosis. I’ll let people decide for themselves about Obama. In my humble but professional opinion (clinical psychologist), my observations confirm to me that he clearly meets five and most likely more of the above criteria. I have never given a diagnostic opinion for anyone without evaluating them personally, so I am reluctant to make this decision. However, as a psychologist may be employed as an expert profiler, this is my firm diagnostic impression. I’m interested in what others may think, keeping in mind their training and experience.

Hillary makes it a nightmare ticket.

My dream ticket is Obama / Ron Paul.

That would be pull voters from both partys together and give the people the candidates that they want with compatable ideals.

It would put a lock on the election. And turn this nation around bringing it back to the people.

Bill Clinton Switches to Obama!
In what some Democratic Party insiders are calling a particularly ominous sign for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, former president Bill Clinton today became the latest superdelegate to switch from Sen. Clinton to her rival, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill).
Sources close to the former president said that Mr. Clinton had been mulling such a defection for weeks, as early as the night of the Iowa primary, but that he only decided to make his decision public today.
“The American people want change,” Mr. Clinton said at a press conference in New York.“Lord knows I do.”
The former president said that “sometimes, at the end of a race, you have to put an old horse down,” adding,“I’m not speaking metaphorically.”
Mr. Clinton fueled speculation that he was seeking a role in an Obama administration, saying,“I know my way around the Oval Office, and I know how the super-secret double-lock works.”
The former president said he would relish a return to the White House, calling his tenure there “good times.”
For her part, Sen. Clinton said that the defection of her husband would not deter her from staying in the race, adding,“To my knowledge, he’s the only white voter Sen. Obama has.”
The New York senator denied that she was playing the race card, arguing,“Every other member of my family is supporting me, and by the way, they’re white.”
Elsewhere, a defiant John McCain said that his wife will not release her tax returns,“and neither will my girlfriend.”

You seem to have a pretty short-sighted view of Pelosi. She seems to be a very clever politician, who understands the need to consolidate power if you're planning on waggling it around. A new article by Laura Litvan at Bloomberg.com talks about just that, and says that "Pelosi has emerged as the most powerful Democratic House leader since Tip O'Neill." That seems to be the consensus of Democratic leadership, too. She seems an obvious choice for a VP candidate, unless she prefers to stay in the House, where she can wield more influence. As for Feinstein, she may seem polarizing to many people, especially on the right; but those are not the voters Obama needs to worry about, because they'll never vote for him anyway. What he will need to do after beating Hillary is to reach out to all the older women who may be angry with him about that. If he chooses Pelosi or Feinstein for a running mate, he can heal that wound and regains the enthusiastic support of women voters.
Again, I don't have a horse in this race, because I would like to see someone more moderate and the Democrats are too far left and the Republicans are too far right. So I'm not saying what I would like to see, just what I think is likely to happen, in terms of the strategy involved in choosing a running mate.
Dee...
You are correct on ONE thing... Pelosi is a CLEVER POLITICIAN. Period.
Go to her website, click on the Latino section. Pelosi is petting the back of, and holding out a 'golden ring' to EVERY ILLEGAL ALIEN (stroking for future votes!!). She is offering ILLEGALS Benifits that Natural Born Americans cannot get !! Clever Politician alright... she's trolling for "future votes" (ILLEGALS Made Legal voters) when she is ready to make her move !!

Hillary All the Way wrote:
The only way the Democrats will be sure to win in November is if Obama and Hillary are on the same ticket.
Now for the real pros --
The Democrats will be united once again, the Democrats as we stand are in a total state of disarray going into this thing..
Obama's supporters will be forced to realize that Hillary Clinton and Bill to are the most successful and accomplished Democrats our country has sen in our life time.
Hillary's supporters will be forced to see Obama's dreams and hopes for America.
Bill Clinton can seriously help, this is like having two Presidents in Obama and Clinton and a third bonus President with Bill in the White House and all very focused, determined, intelligent Democrats. Stop trashing the 'opposition' and look at the potential for what this could do to help America get back on track. The next President will need all the help he or she can get with all that Bush has done to utterly destroy us.
We can all stop fighting with each other, finally. If Hillary is not on the ticket, we will keep fighting for quite some time, do we really want to keep this tone with each other up another 4 or 8 years? indefinitely? lose the White House over it? possibly the whole party?
The future of the Democratic party will be secure
If anything should happen to the President, the best possible choice will be right there as VP rather than some unproven rookie.
The Democrats will blow John McCain away with a dream ticket like this
The list goes on and on..
Now the cons -
We will have to make up with each other and play nice again, how horrible..
This is a no brainier people, if you really care about the future of America, you are for the dream ticket.
just remember, Hillary will and already has won the popular vote, meaning more votes than Obama in this primary, do NOT ignore Florida and Michigan, their votes will count in November! Hillary won the popular vote, face it, and with all the key big important swing states too, can America really afford to risk losing this election to the Republicans again? We are going down in flames as a nation right NOW. Four more years of Republican rule will surely bury us for good,, a McCain White House is a very real possibility if the majority of Democrats supporting Hillary are denied. Support the dream ticket, put aside your arrogance and save America. United we stand, divided we fall.
I'm scared of Obama..Obama wants to reduce defense spending & get rid of our nukes...it's waaaaay too premature to do that....

Why? after seeing some of these....

What did the Clintons do that was so wrong? Her husband cheated on her. As much as we, as Americans, would like to sweep that under the rug the fact is that it happens EVERY DAY!!! If anything it proved how strong she can be under fire. "...for better or FOR WORSE...'til DEATH DO US PART..." I believe cheating falls under the "for worse" catergory. With that aside, Hillary is just as ambitious as Barack. His approach is a little different, and he has better tactics. That's it! I think they should swallow their pride and find a way to run together. That is the only way we can beat McCain.
Denise - THANK YOU. I dont get it either. I wonder too what the clintons did that was so bad. No one is saying they are perfect, they made mistakes, but they were actually for the people. I think they did alot of good and can again. But hey if the sheeple want to buy 7 dollars a gallon i guess thats fine too
