The "right" to own livestock? Where do you get your info. This does not be the bible days where the lands have kings they have a few laws. Everyone has the right to own livestock within city limits. But most areas don't require a LICENSE for one or two goats to become someone's eventual own supper.

Actually I've thought about and I've thought it through carefully. And didn't I say that animals would have to be fixed and current on shots. That would also cut down on diseases. You would have to offer up pet records and treat in like a sub-dependent on your taxes.
Oh, it would be a mess of paperwork and pet ID numbers, etc. But I believe it could work and by the way, some companies offer "pet insurance" now.

Yep, cats are better, lol. They don't lie, cheat or steal.
Yes, I know that's a goofy statement, the facts remain that people will be the end of this world, not animals. They regulate their population natures way. People are the ones who breed them for money or collect them and let them breed unchecked. I have 8 pets, all are fixed and current with their shots. Cost me money, but I choose to have them. In doing so I take the resposibilty for them. Lots of people don't, so you have a tail load of animals in shelters.
I DONT THINK ANYONE IS DEFENDING THIS MAN AND WHAT HE DID. however, to put animals equal with humans is completely bizzare. tax deduction???? pig and cow farmers would be multimillionaires, thanks to deductions. bizarre. spay and neuter. in the meantime, are ALL OF YOU vegans??? because if your not, an animal was most likely inhumanely slaughtered to provide part or all of your meal today. right down to your makeup, if you eat fries in a fast food restaurant, chances are they have used the same oil as a tenderloin, and you dont want me to tell you what goes on at the pig slaughtering factory down the road from me. do you know that pigs start squealing in the trucks miles away from a slaughtering factory, becaause they can smell death. TRUTH. so PLEASE tell me your VEGAN not vegitarian or fish/poultry only, but VEGAN,,, even fish, my god they chop their heads off while they are still alive---------- PRIORITIES PRIORITIES i agree with the others

I have twelve cats and all are spayed or neutered, they are toss aways from other people, or found at the dump site.I brought them home, gave them a place to rest and be loved.i have dogs, cats, horses calves, chickens, turtles, fish, parakeets. Why?because it was their fault they grew up and are too large or someone lost their house, lost their jobs and had to move. What do they leave behind them?Thats right fido or fuzzy has to fend for themselves.
We, could try to be kinder to each other, thats what we were taught, and that must be the lesson that guy forgot to learn or was never taught from his parents, my they must be very proud of their baby boy, what a winner he is.This guy, has got to be taught a little humility in life, he needs to be knocked down to the animals level and see where they come from, where they stand. If, he had an once of feeling in him, taught to him maybe there would be hope for another human being. We, do after all have to share this world with each other.I am still wondering, how many others have done this before him and were not caught???In how many other states??

I do have priorities, I wouldn't have pets if I couldn't afford it.
You didn't read all my post correctly. I was talking about "pets", not livestock. There's a big difference between 30 horses on a ranch and a person riding 1 horse. Or making a meatloaf out of a cat and slaughtering 20 steers.

Good grief.

If people could be a little kinder to animals.................. They rely on humans to feed and care for them. They can't speak and only true pet owner's can understand what they say. These creatures are beautiful and pet owner's cherish them like their own families. Only YOU Realism-Like serve no purpose............

You've got the cats confused with yourself. At least cats are affectionate and loveable. You should join the cop in being drowned, by the sounds of it.

what ever, your local agency will trap and fix and give shots to these cats free.............. its better than someone getting paid to do a job do the opposite for what he stands for. Alot of people out there choose to have a pet and neglet their duties........... Have the proper authorities step in, if this animal office is not what he stands for and is out there for a pay check find someone else.

Ask yourself who's to blame for so many cats?

I hate having all these feral cats running loose. Twice I've lost pets to these disease carrying cats. But people are the ones who cause these type of problems. Our shelters are woefully full.

He didn't do this for pulic service. Why kill the young kittens? Surely there were older cats or sick ones. So trying to look at it that way and give him credit is whacked!

Cats serve a real purpose in the real world. They are some people's best friend, they unlike some people don't judge you on your clothes, your house or lack of...They don't laugh at your lifestyle let alone judge you, because of it.
all, they as ask for in return is some food, shelter and maybe if you can really spare it,a friendly word or two and a scratch behind the ear or back. In, short, the time it took you to take off your shoes, was all the time you had to spend on a friend like that.I'd say you were getting quite the bargain. They, don't ask to borrow money or your car,All, they want is a home and someone to love them, that i am sure to some is too difficult to deal with. With the others?i'd still say they are the deal of the century.
Maybe the nay-sayers didn't have a pet when growing up, thats too bad, they missed out on a good lesson in life.

Good grief.
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE??? the only difference is how each person chooses to call right and wrong. some countries find eating beef offensive, the cow is sacred, pork is defiled. etc, some countries eat cat and dog, it is a delicacy, some people hate cats, love fish, some people choose to eat meat, others do not, some people choose to have children others do not. that is the point i was trying to make, and not being willing to agree to disagree, makes you unreasonable. PERIOD the differences cannot be what one person, you or anyone else choose to make them. like i said in my first post, i havnt seen where anyone has defended this man. i really think they are trying to make some of you see there are many sides to animal rights. everyone is entitled ,,,,, you are not the authority. GOOD GREIF??? right back at ya. agree to disagree
