My mistake - it was an SA-21. Should add an interesting element to the "theatre" along with our insane President's agreement to set up an "Iranian missile shield" in Poland today. Exactly! The Afghans didn't do it alone but with a lot of weaponry from the USA inluding the deadly hand-held stinger missle launchers. But some people like to make it sound like it was Afghans throwing rocks were so victorious. The Soviet Union defeated Afghanistan in two weeks, but withdrew due to the great loss of helicopters thanks to the Stinger missiles.

I've been dedicating 6-8 hours a day for years researching all the issues and the direction the US and world has been heading.

It is over 5 years now, more than the duration of 2nd World War that the United States has been in Iraq without being able to win or complete the war. This is a small country with population of less than 30 million and fought with over 150,000 US troops including its aclaimed hard fighting Marine forces. The United States has also been unable to complete the War in Afghanistan either, which is one that directly affect her. So it is not only the Russians that could not win war in that part of the World. Neither the US nor UK has been able to do so!
Georgia will be risking the lives of her citizens by thinking that it can successfully confront Russian without being damaged. Ukraine tried it sometimes last year or 2 years ago and when Russia turned off the Gas pipeline to them they came begging. Now, Georgia has accepted a Russia peace proposal after being seriously damaged and loosing quite a number of her citizens. They better make good use of their senses and apply wisdom.
United States claim of her ability to use precision guided technology as part of her defense strategy has never worked due to poor intelligence. Where are their forces when the Russian troops poored in on Georgia? They cannot even mobilize any (if available at all).
