Steve Buyer shows once again that he is just a tool of the special interests.

We have reached peak oil and that is why the oil industry does not invest in new refineries and risky production. They know that the end is very near for them.

build a pipe to ANWR ... a few years and billions of dollars..if we just conserve a bit, we wouldn't need the pittance of oil under ANWR

we burn 20+ million barrels a day... ANWR might offer 1 million per day.... and at what cost in dollars and to the pristine environment ?

After a decade and a half of ignoring Purdue University - he invents an election year bill and lists Purdue as a POTENTIAL candidate for a bio-fuel initiative???? Thanks for throwing us a bone Steve, but we are hungry for the meat. What has this guy actually done?

Why doesn't the government MAKE the oil companies turn the money around and stop the gouging "NOW" when we are so despirate for it. Some people are looking at having to quit their jobs and go on welfare to get food for their families, or see them starve. What is wrong with this country. We are suppose to be For the People, By the People, what good is government when the taxes go to pay for mailings and toilet seats that are too high priced to begin with. When does the people get to HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIVE "FREE" OF TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION. Let the road companies repair the roads that they put in, at their cost. Maybe they will do them right the first time. Make companies responsible for other things they do and quit sending all the costs to the poor.

I suggest we begin looking for water. The Ethanol Plant in Linden caused my water bill to go up over 110%

I agree that we need to prserve wildlife as much as possible. But there will come a time when the population of Humans will over-run it in the end. We need to do what is needed to insure our children, grandchildren and so on down the line have a healthy economy and future. Unless we are willing to put stipulations on the world for decreasing the population, I see no alternative but to unlesh our reserves.

Been thinking it over and it seems to me that this man has done NOTHING to help the poor in this state. Everyone seems to be centered on the middle-class,($50,000 a yr or more) and the immigrants that do not have rights yet and are not citizens (taking the food away from our citizens). What happens to the underdog in all of this. We have needs too. WE want the vote given back to the people. WE want the vote given to us that need the help, not the "rich and famous" that hold our "VOTE" and cast it the ways that they want it cast. The electorial votes should be abolished. WE THE PEOPLE, should be able to VOTE and ELECT THE PERSON THAT GETS THE MOST VOTES. Not the person with the most popularity/backers with money in their pockets and the candidates hands in them voting for what THEY want. It really disturbs me when I see this FREE(?) country held back, when it should be in full swing pulling together like our ancesters did to fight for our RIGHTS. Pull together AMERICA! If not now, then when?

This is an honest effort. Bill Clinton said when he vetoed a bill to allow drilling in ANWR because it would do nothing "now" to decrease prices at the pump and it would be 10 years until we would see a drop. Well, that was 12 years ago. We would have that oil now!
