Actually, both sides are already campaigning hard, so no work will get done until after the election. The President needs money to run, and the party that opposes him will NEVER vote for anything that would improve the economy now, because it might give a boost to his rating.
That's how our system works.
If we don't like it, then we need campaign reform of some sort to shorten election season or lengthen Presidential terms

Obama's appeal is more to the gangsta hip hop crowd. They love this off color sexual stuff.

It's time to clean out Congress of these un-American job killing Republicans.
Didn't read your own article, did you?

The first measure, a piece of President Obama’s larger jobs package, failed in a 50-50 vote after two Democrats and Independent Sen. Joe Lieberman (Conn.) joined Senate Republicans in voting against moving to the measure.

Democrats Ben Nelson (Neb.) and Mark Pryor (Ark.) also sided with Republicans.

Nelson and Sen. Jon Tester (Mont.) were the two Democrats to vote against the president's full "jobs" package last week. Tester voted yes on Thursday's measure.

Shovel ready, cash for clunkers, solyndra, fisker and other have been nothing but expensive disasters for nobama's jobs programs. It's about time someone told him he didn't know what the hell he was doing. Now many democrats are saying it. Clean their house first!!!

The same can be said of all the dumb, fat-cat democrats as well as many of the aforementioned republicans. At least I can admit that the right has its share of dead wood, you YOU admit that the left does as well???? If not, I feel for you.

Is that the best you can come up with, is that all you've got. Pretty lame but, then again, you don't have very many active brain cells to begin with so what could one expect from you other than inane tripe and BS.

Again, isn't that what all presidents have done? isn't that the job of the leader of a political party?

campaigns are funded publicly. you can donate to any campaign you wish to, or all of them if you so desire.

Then what was his excuse for not getting anything done with a democratic house? He is terrible. I will cut the deficit in half but he doubled it instead. Is Gitmo closed? Is America back to work? Just all campaign lies
