I believe McCain said he later gave up some information under torture. The longer you are held the less you know of any operational nature. Anyone will say anything under torture. They just told us to try to hold out and try to resist.

DOES OBAMA EVER TELL THE TRUTH?
Report: Exxon Execs Gave More to Obama
By Matthew Mosk
The Democratic National Committee may be trying to get some mileage out of recent news about oil industry contributions to Republican Sen. John McCain, launching a web site spoofing the idea of McCain sharing his presidential ticket with Exxon. But they may have found an unwelcome surprise in a just-released analysis by the Center for Responsive Politics.
Turns out, the biggest recipient of contributions from Exxon executives and employees during this campaign is not McCain. It's Obama.
The non-partisan center writes: "Through June, Exxon employees have given Obama $42,100 to McCain's $35,166. Chevron favors Obama $35,157 to $28,500, and Obama edges out McCain with BP $16,046 vs.$11,500."
what you seem to fail to realize... those are individual supporters, not a corporation. so your just making the point for the liberals. more individual supporters support obama then mccain. by far.

Seems to us that you may need to sit the fukdown.....facts clearly prove....bwaaaaa ha ha ha ha if they had been proven...McAmnesty wouldn't be able to even run for pres.....you idiot!

There are NO FACTS nor has it been proven that he gave intel to the VC....you're just Blatting like a sheep, with your second-hand, spoon-fed, predigested "opinions", lacking any quality of critical analysis nor backed up with facts.

Here is a statement from someone that was at the Hanoi Hilton when McAmnesty was there. You might find it interesting...

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has seen his lead in Massachusetts and across the nation slip precipitously over the past few months, especially with older, more experienced, voters.

In June, Obama was ahead of Republican candidate John McCain by 23 percentage points, but this summer, Obama has been virtually bleeding support in the Bay State. He now leads McCain by only 9 percentage points here.

Nationally, Obama's lead varies on an almost daily basis. In recent days, he has been tied with McCain, ahead by 3 points and ahead by 1 point.

The fluctuating numbers come on the heels of Obama's much-publicized Middle Eastern and European tour, during which he was treated as visiting royalty by most officials while he made the mistake of portraying a potential president as a monarchist. The trip did help Obama's lead, but it didn't last long, particularly once McCain began a weeklong attack on the Democrat's so-called celebrity status. The McCain campaign ran an advertisement comparing Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. It appears to have hit home with some voters.

But the roller-coaster numbers aren't due only to McCain's ads.

They are also directly related to Obama's roller-coaster positions on issues.

In recent weeks, Obama has changed his positions almost as often as he changes his designer suits.

He has switched his stance on oil drilling, suddenly deciding he would be open to limited proposals for offshore drilling. He recently declared he would be willing, after all, to tap the nation's Strategic Petroleum Reserves to lower the price of gasoline. And he has altered his position on withdrawing from Iraq, saying he will listen to advice from ground commanders.

Frankly, the Democratic candidate's flip-flops are starting to give voters whiplash. They can't snap their heads back and forth as quickly as Obama can change his stances on crucial issues. But voters' pain may prove to be Obama's loss, if recent polls are any gauge of public opinion.

It takes a lot more than a good campaign slogan and a smooth speaking style to win the presidency. Obama may well learn that lesson the hard way.

The numbers Obama used were incorrect according to the CRP. They were in part from the same sources, but the CRP themselves explained the campaign got it wrong.

The CRP (opensecrets) has an article explaining how Obama's campaign got it wrong.

The contributions to McCain were also employees, family members, etc.

Both campaigns get oil money, and although McCain has gotten more oil, Obama has gotten more from some other very big businesses.

The polls are going McCains way now, but we are a long way from nov. Obama just might learn his lesson very quickly.
