He is serving the USA in the military - that alone should give him the right to citizenship.

Is the military so bad off it has to recruit non-Americans?

Shouldn't that be a red flag to someone when we use foreign nationals to fight our battles?

It is a sad day when I see posts like I do here. I know of American history where we had "brothers" of other nationalities fighting side by side, fighting for the same causes against the same enemy. People need to learn their history books. As well as we have fought oversees, like now, helping other countries with causes that actually help defend our borders. Think about this - if we are keeping Al Quada busy over there - it helps them from being over HERE as much, capiche? When we get so closed-minded and discriminatory about race and color, when our own country is a melting pot of many nationalities, religions, and colors, we become hypocrites. Look at that Statue of Liberty for a moment ...
What is "American"? Well, it can be in your heart or genes? Hmmm. If a soldier is willing to die for my country, I think that person worthy of becoming and American citizen. I know people that have been BORN on American soil that would not join the military and fight for the freedoms and principals that this great country was founded on - in order to KEEP it free. So I would take my hat off to ANY "non-American" that would be "re-cruited" to die for my freedom today so we can blog about it and laugh, jeckle, while we are comfortable in our houses while they are shedding blood. Judge carefully.

Put this option into place for every illegal. You want in, you gotta serve first. Otherwise, file your paperwork and come in the right way.

Fedup, the front line is usually made of foreign people, like dishwashers. Somebody needs to do the dirty job.

Congrats...now maybe you can help your parents with thier English. It is SO important to speak English when in public. I don't care how many signs are in Spanish...it is still BAD manners to speak other languages in an English speaking country (when in public). Thanks for your sevice and Godspeed.

Yeah, Like that annoying Prussian, Baron Von Steuben, who fought for US in the Revolutionary war.
