You are just picking on Palin because she's pro-life. If she weren't, she'd be the media darling! I am so sick of you liberal media people attacking her.

How wonderful to see some of the truth conclusively come out about this unethical, aggressive, and unsuitable person who has and will again abuse her authority and violate ethical standards in pursuit of her agenda. Of course that's what her base loves about her, but the rest of us do not. I can only hope that this disqualifies her for any sort of public office, and sends her back to the tundra from whence she came. It couldn't happen to a more mean-spirited and bellicose person!

The same vitriol she uses against Senator Obama, she probably used against the trooper.

Actually, sarah is related to princess Diane, which means she and McCooook will be elected. I know this because I saw the conspiracy viveo on the History Channel where David Icke states that the powers behind the new world order choose their president and prefer a blood lineage that dates back to Jesus.

CNN said she abused her power but did nothing unlawful. So NBC4 has put a spin on this breaking news making it look like she was "unlawful.".....
Hmmmm. Please be discriptive in your reporting, not using inuendo's.

Her subordinates called the commissioner numerously regarding the rogue officer with out her authorization or knowledge, but the buck stops at the top which is her. So I don't find this offensive-I mean the outcome of the investigation.

She may not have broken the law, but she sure came as close as she could! And she would be the same kind of VP.... Just like Cheney; walk as close to the edge as possible without actually getting caught!!!

Wake up Amy!!!! It has nothing to do with her being "Pro Life"... It has to do with her being unethical and thinking she can do whatever she wants!!!

And WHO was on this investigative panel and what exactly is their political agenda?? The Democratic Senator from Alaska who was leading this investigation was making statements to the press when the investigation started that the findings will be damning of her so I would take this with a BIG grain of salt or two or three because it would appear the outcome was already determined before the investigation. Lets have an investigation of ACORN scandle now! Talk about abuse of authority! Double standard?

She's being looked at closely because she is not qualified, period.

Just say no to McSame/Failin, say no to four more years of the same failed policies.

So, if Palin had the authority to fire the commissioner for any reason then why was there an investigation in the first place. This ruling makes no sense.

I can't believe people are still harping on this.
Would any sane person want this guy on their police force?
As a governor, why wouldn't she want this guy off the force? Isn't her job looking out for the Alsakan people?

This means nothing. No one would dare to attack Sarah.
However it does show what would happen to our country if (God forbid) McCain would not be able to finish his term if he is elected President.

FINDINGS:

Finding Number One

For the reasons explained in section IV of this report, I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act. Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) provides

The legislature reaffirms that each public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of that trust.

Finding Number Two

I find that, although Walt Monegan's refusal to fire Trooper Michael Wooten was not the sole reason he was fired by Governor Sarah Palin, it was likely a contributing factor to his termination as Commissioner of Public Safety. In spite of that, Governor Palin's firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads.

Finding Number Three

Harbor Adjustment Service of Anchorage, and its owner Ms. Murleen Wilkes, handled Trooper Michael Wooten's workers' compensation claim property and in the normal course of business like any other claim processed by Harbor Adjustment Service and Ms. Wilkes. Further, Trooper Wooten received all the workers' compensation benefits to which he was entitled.

Finding Number Four
The Attorney General's office has failed to substantially comply with my August 6, 2008 written request to Governor Sarah Palin for infomration about the case in the form of emails.

Page 8 of the Branchflower Report explains the ruling. She violated Alaska state code.

http://media.adn.com/smedia/2008/10/10/16/Bra...

The fact that Palin has abused her power as governor undermines her credibility and dismantles our trust that she will not abuse her power as vice president. She was an irresponsible and reckless VP choice from the start, we suspected as much and now the facts are becoming clear. Add her gutter mouth, un-Christian sentiment, and proclivity to inciting people to riot, she is therefore not a qualified leader for the United States of America.

The way I see it, sounds like a good ole boy investigation. Any time people have the power to conduct investigations into their own area of Government, it is wrong and should not be done.
I havent read anything as of yet on their findings, only the heading, Palin found guilty of, abuse of authority.

This investigation stinks to the point I smell it in Arizona, it also reminds me of a case I saw on the east coast before I retired. There was 5 cops, that were out of control, they planted drugs, just to take the car to impound so they could keep it for under cover work, setting up a lady, a single mom, and she lost her child, they took money from the drug dealers, skimmed off what they wanted, Judge isnt going to believe a drug dealer over a cop! Nice set up.

The Drug pusher, so they said filed a law suit for his money and civil rights violations. The case went to County Court, and the five cops beat the charges! But there is a GOD, the Assistant U.S. Attorney got information of the jury trial ruling, long story short, they wound up in Federal Court for civil rights violations and other charges ( Like false statements), and they all went to prison, and the lady got her child back, drug pusher, was released, the guy that lost his car made out too. But those 5 cops screwed up those peoples lives.
The U.S. Attorneys Office in Alaska needs to take over the investigation, I bet you get a different out come.
