So why did Delta leave? Your statement "so what has been the cost so far to North Texas travelers so far, while the world is waiting for this fight is finally settled." -- are you conceding that AA charges an arm, leg, and your first born to fly from DFW?

So what has been the cost so far to North Texas travelers so far; while the world is waiting for this fight (that WN has waged over and over) is finally settled. <quoted text> Why do you keep trying to make that claim when I have already provided quotes from airline executives that specifically say that AA is the reason they don't want to initiate/add service at DFW and, furthermore, they have specifically said that Wright has nothing to do with it. It is dishonest to repeatedly make claims and insinuations when you have nothing to back them up and, in fact, you have seen evidence that disproves them. Show me just one quote from an airline official that says they changed a decision about DFW because Wright. Besides, AA has no interest in it being settled, as evidenced by this quote from yesterday's Dallas Morning News. ---------- "American officials say they are cooperating with the mayors. But privately, they complain about being forced to accept a deal that would favor Southwest. Delaying the process, they say, works to their advantage." ---------- Once again ... can you say "duplicity"?

I am an Exec. Plat. Member on AA, over a million miles, and I am headed to ORD and flying UAL, from DFW. AA has lost its objectivity in this matter. When AA moved flights to DAL, it announced it would lose money on the move. So not only is AA doing something that is admittedly unprofitable, it is also weakening the connection abilities at DFW, further weakening its position, especially with flights here in TX. When this announcement came out, I dumped all my AMR shares, over 10,000, because it was clear, AMR (AA) was no longer concerned with those of us that it should be working for, the shareholders, but instead involved in a petty little fight with SWA and DAL. I do not think AA will die off or anything, far from it, however, when I see it posting losses, asking for bonds, requesting tax relief, etc, I can't vote or call my elected officials fast enough to say "Heck No!", they are intentionally losing money at DAL, so they those morons suffer. They are a for-profit company, either act like it, or self-fund your pathetic vendettas.

I saw an article the other day, from Moningstar, I think, saying AMR was a buy at $3.50 ( I guess what they thinks it's really worth) and a sell at $7.50. I can't say that makes much sense to me when it's already at $23, but I guess it does say what they think of it long term. I also don't get how Arpey can say "Love Field is going to get very big," except as an idle threat, when everything points to DAL having reduced gate capacity. Objectivity! Good word!!
