Cheney is a neo-conservative and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Cheney is the former CEO of Halliburton Company, which greatly benefits from contracts with the U.S. government, especially in the war with Iraq [1](http://www.corpwatch.org/issues/PRT.jsp... ). Cheney has ties to the Carlyle Group, is a former Senior Fellow with the American Enterprise Institute [2](http://www.defenselink.mil/specials/secdef_hi... ), served on the Advisory Board of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA), and has been linked to the Project for the New American Century (PNAC).
Mr. Cheney opposed the Equal Rights Amendment, is an anti-abortion advocate, and supports prayer in school. While serving in Congress, he was one of 21 members opposing the sale ban of armor-piercing bullets; was one of only four to oppose the ban on guns that can get through metal detectors; opposed sanctions against the apartheid-era South Africa in the mid-1980s along with voting against a resolution calling for the release of Nelson Mandela; voted for a constitutional amendment to ban school busing; voted against Head Start; and voted against extending the Clean Water Act in 1987. Mr. Cheney is still drawing a $1,000,000 per year paycheck from Halliburton while serving as the Vice President.[3](http://inthesetimes.com/comments.php... )[4](http://www.truthout.org/docs_03/091803B.shtml ). He evidently sees no conflict of interest between taking this paycheck and participating in White House decisions that have allocated billions of dollars of bids to Halliburton that have not gone to open tender. His persistent embroglio in the Junior Bush regime has been with his Energy Task Force through which during the early months of 2001 he was taking dictation from Enron and studying petro maps of Iraq, and wants to keep all those notes a secret. It goes on.. He was the Acting Presidential Chief on 9/11 conducting air drills with the military simulating terrorists attacks by airplane. This is the guy that is really dangerous. |

Well, that depends on whether you want to stay with the lw,or not. It's not considered fair in most western societies to kill someone,if you have no hard evidence against him.Soft evidence meaning hearsay, and the like-inadmissable stuff.Innocent until proven guilty. After 5 years of the most intensive investigation the world has ever seen,Bush and the FBI still cannot come up with any hard evidence against Osama Bin Laden.Considering that Bin Laden denies any complicity in 9/11,perhaps that could mean he really is innocent of this particular vrime. |
Bill, my friend, must we continue this little waltz? Bin Laden took proud credit for the 9/11 attacks in a videotaped confession viewed around the globe. FBI spokesman Rex Tomb has stated unequivocally that 9/11 could be added to bin Laden's wanted poster. The fact that it has not is a formailty. Secondly, in case it escaped you attention, bin Laden is not wanted only by the FBI. He is not even primarily the subject of a criminal investigation, but of a full scale military effort by the United States armed forces. |

Cheney is a former Halliburton CEO? Shocking! And he served on the advisory board of the Jewish Institue for National Security Affairs? Why, that dirty tool of the Zionist Entity! He's an anti-abortion advocate and supports prayer in school? Does anyone else know about this? Something should be done! Our liberties are in grave danger! And...worst of all...he voted for a constitutional amendment to BAN SCHOOL BUSING! Just think, he actually wanted parents to have the right to send their OWN CHILDREN to the school of their choice! It's like the Taliban all over again! Help! |

Actually, the thing that lies at the bottom of the ocean and twitches is the motorized shark-shaped submarine that Jacques' son Fabien was tooling around in when it sank. Tens of thousands of dollars wasted. I'm sure M. Cousteau would be proud. |

Can you speculate on the nature of the 'formality' that allows Osama Bin Laden not to be charged with any offence arising from the attacks on september 11th 2001? |
|
Actually, he is Cousteau's grandson.
|
|
I really would like to delve into this more deeply. It is, as Mr. Tomb says, no mystery. We'll have to postpone it for a little while, though, I've got to run right now.(Pleae don't accuse me of ducking your question!) When next we speak I shall be in sunny (?) Sarasota, Florida. |

Going to see Dave,then? |
I find that our running out of Somalia, the 750,000 people massacred in Rwanda, the blowing up of the USS Cole, the blowing up of the two American embassies, the World Trade Center explosion in1993, The Murray building in Oklahoma City, the Waco fiasco, should I go On? He spent most of his time getting oral visits, which should be construed as sexual predation but he was so good. We haven't had a decent president since Washington. Read about them all!!!!! |

The Trial of Osama Bin Laden ,a very short story

Defending attornry addressing Judge.........."Objection ,you honour, the state prosecutor has no evidence to present." Judge addressing state prosecutor..........Is this true? State prosecutor addressing Judge "I'm afraid we don't,your honour, but if you could postpone the case,to give us more time?.........". Judge, addressing state prosecutor "You have had 5 years to gather evidence against this man, using the massive resources afforded you by the United States Government, and most other Governments of the world, and you still do not have any hard evidence to lay against the defendant?.... " State prosecutor addressing Judge "The President and the administration aver that Bin Laden is guilty of these crimes, you honour......". Judge addressing state prosecutor..... "That is opinion, not evidence, and is not satisfactory.....". Judge Addressing Jury.... "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, this is a case in which the defendant has pleaded not guilty, and the state does not produce, after the most thorough investigation ever conducted, anywhere in the world, any evidence to support it's contention. It is therefore my duty, under the tenets of the constitution of the United States of America,to instruct you to find Osama bin Laden not guilty of complicity in the attacks of 9/11.Case Dismissed". |

Maybe then the 'nervous wreck' is the spirit of his grandpa at the bottom of the ocean. I know I'd be a nervous wreck if one of my sons proved to be such a waster! |

A Day in the Life of Joe Middle-Class Republican by Donna L. Lavins and Sheldon Cotler
Joe gets up at 6:00 AM to prepare his morning coffee. He fills his pot with good, clean drinking water because some liberal fought for minimum water quality standards. He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure their safety and that they work as advertised. All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan. Because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast -- bacon and eggs this day. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry. Joe takes his morning shower, reaching for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with every ingredient and the amount that is contains because some liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and the breakdown of its contents. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree-hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air. He walks to the subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work; it saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees. You see, some liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor. Joe begins his work day; he has a good job with excellent pay, medicals benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer meets these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed he'll get worker's compensation or an unemployment check because some liberal didn't think he should loose his home to temporary misfortune. |

A Day in the Life of Joe Middle-Class Republican by Donna L. Lavins and Sheldon Cotler continued:
It's noon time. Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the depression. Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae underwritten mortgage and his below market federal student loan because some stupid liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime. Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive to dads; his car is among the safest in the world because some liberal fought for car safety standards. He arrives at his boyhood home. He was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electric until some big government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification (those rural Republican's would still be sitting in the dark). Joe is happy to see his dad, who is now retired. Joe's dad lives on Social Security and his union pension because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to. After his visit with dad, Joe gets back in his car for the ride home. He turns on a radio talk show. The host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't tell Joe that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day. Joe agrees, "We don't need those big government liberals ruining our lives. After all, I'm a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have." In the years to come, Joe's life will change dramatically. The U.S. dollar will be devalued as a result of our huge deficit, our living standards demolished, our standing with the world diminished and our social security gone...all because some conservative republican made sure he could take care of himself and his buddies. |
