would be great but the fact is,we need oil at the present time wind and solar will not move my truck down the road bringing you the things you need,sorry,the technology is not there yet(sure it will be someday)and btw what is wrong with using all of our rescources,nothing. but i'm sure your home is all green isn't it. |

1 Getting real is what this is all about. I already get 100% of my electricity from renewables and when I buy this car next year: http://www.autobloggreen.com/2008/07/19/real-... I'll be doing all my city driving with 100% renewable energy. So, if you want to keep paying Big Oil for their pollution, go right ahead. I will instead give my money to the companies that are innovating and making our world cleaner. And I will only be spending 10 to 25% on electricity of what others spend on gas. Larry |

The technologies are here now. Heavy duty vehicles may not be ready for electric yet due to still limited battery storage capacities(which are becoming more powerful at breakneck speed), but you can get a compressed natural gas(much cleaner than oil) or even a CNG/hybrid, which is much cleaner and more efficient.
