Assange Sees Unemployment rate rises in 44 states

By Bernie Becker
08/17/12

Close to 90 percent of states saw their unemployment rates rise in July, a potentially worrisome development for President Obama’s reelection campaign.

The Labor Department reported Friday that 44 states in all saw their jobless rate go up, with four states seeing no change at all. Only Idaho and Rhode Island — along with Washington, D.C.— saw their rates drop last month.

The strength of the job market and the economy at large is still expected to play a key role in November’s match-up between Obama and the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, Mitt Romney.

At the same time, Romney’s recent choice of Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), the House GOP’s budget guru, as his running mate also appears to have brought issues like Medicare and budget deficits more to the forefront of the campaign.

Nevada, which continues to have the highest unemployment rate in the country, saw its rate jump back to 12 percent, up from June’s 11.6 percent.

THANKS OBAMA! YOU SUCK!

ABC Highlights Dems Charging Obama Admin Leaked National Security Secrets

By Brad Wilmouth
June 08,
Uniquely among the broadcast network evening newscasts, ABC's World News on Thursday ran a report which informed viewers that Democrats in Congress have joined Republicans in accusing the Obama administration of leaking classified information, jeopardizing the country's ability to recruit spies in other countries to help the U.S. in the future.

Host Diane Sawyer introduced the report by suggesting that administration officials have leaked sensitive information to benefit President Obama politically, noting that Democrats have weighed in against the White House as well:

We turn now from Syria to the heart of the nation's capital and a firestorm today as Republicans claim the White House has been leaking national security secrets to the press to make President Obama look good. But Democrats joined Republicans in saying, "Enough, these leaks must stop."

After noting several examples of leaked information, correspondent Jonathan Karl recounted:

Some of the leaks are already under investigation by the FBI. And today, U.S. officials told ABC News the Director of National Intelligence is now doing more lie detector tests of people with access to classified information. Republicans say the leaking is politically motivated and possibly criminal.

After an exchange between Karl and Senator Lindsey Graham in which the South Carolina Republican asserted that the leaks are "coming right from the White House," and that there should be "prosecutions," then came a clip of Arizona Senator John McCain:

Regardless of how politically useful these leaks may have been to the President, they have to stop. These leaks have to stop.

Karl then turned to congressional Democrats joining Republicans against the White House:

JONATHAN KARL: And today, top Democrats on the congressional intelligence committees joined Republicans in denouncing the leaks.

SENATOR DIANNE FEINSTEIN (D-CA): This has to stop. When people say, they don't want to work with the United States because they can't trust us to keep a secret, that's serious.

REP. DUTCH RUPPERSBERGER (D-MD): It puts us at risk. It puts lives at risk.

Sen. Feinstein: Some intel leaks come from White House

Jul 24, 2012

A prominent Democrat is giving the White House heartburn over national security leaks.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., who chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee, told a World Affairs Council forum yesterday, "I think the White House has to understand that some of this is coming from their ranks."

It's time to Arrest Obama. He's a criminal...like assange....

Congressional Republicans are calling for a special prosecutor to investigate the source of news leaks divulging sensitive national security secrets.

The leaks have included news that the U.S. has launched cyberattacks against Iran's nuclear program and details of an investigation into an al-Qaeda bombing plot.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is expected to pick up on Feinstein's comments in a speech to the VFW convention in Reno, reports our OnPolitics blog.

"Whoever provided classified information to the media, seeking political advantage for the administration, must be exposed, dismissed, and punished," Romney plans to say, according to excerpts released from his campaign. "The time for stonewalling is over."

Obama and aides have denied releasing any classified information to reporters, saying the information appears to be coming from other parts of the government.

Feinstein Calls Out White House On Security Leaks

Posted 07/24/2012

National Security: The Democrat in charge of the Senate intelligence panel says Obama White House underlings leaked classified information. Connect the dots and you have a case for outrage.

'The notion that my White House would purposefully release classified national security information is offensive. It's wrong."

Here with another opinion is Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., who chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee. "I think the White House has to understand that some of this is coming from their ranks," she said at a World Affairs Council Forum on Monday.

On Tuesday — in what is getting to be a familiar pattern for Democrats who criticize theWhite House in an unguarded moment — Feinstein backtracked.

David Sanger, the New York Times reporter who broke the Stuxnet story, neatly explained to CBS News' "Face the Nation" how politics trumps security in the Obama administration.

He said he had "spent a year working the story from the bottom up" — with no help from leaks, he said — and "then went to the administration and told them what I had. Then they had to make some decisions about how much they wanted to talk about it."

Sanger sensed a split opinion: "I'm sure the political side of the White House probably likes reading about the President acting with drones and cyber and so forth. National security side has got very mixed emotions about it because these are classified programs."

But in the end the political side won. This wasn't the Bush administration, which fought to keep the Times from printing stories about is anti-terror surveillance.

It was the Obama White House in re-election mode, where it has been since Day One.

In the second largest job cut announcement to hit the Tampa Bay, Florida area this year, PEMCO World Air Services is planning to shed 474 jobs at its aircraft maintenance complex at Tampa International Airport. The layoffs will hit the vast majority of the company’s workforce. The news came after PEMCO lost a major contract with United Airlines.

The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization five months ago. A company statement declared,“Although PEMCO’s Tampa facilities will continue operations, these layoffs are expected to be permanent.”

Obama really sucks dude. I hope you find work Someday.

Assange is an international HERO who should receive the next Nobel Peace Prize. He's one of the FEW willing to blow the whistle on the corruption, the violence, the hypocrisy, and the insanity which is international politics.

Obama, our client-state the Brits, and Sweden need to adopt a hands-off policy. Their persecution of Assange is CRIMINAL.

He has blown the whistle on no one. He has profited by releasing the info stolen by whistleblowers and then run for cover, leaving the "whistleblowers" to their fates. He is a criminal who stands for nothing and by suppporting him...you stand for nothing as well.
