Bush.......every time I see or hear that word I go into kind of a zombie trance....for example

Just yesterday my daughter came by and ask me if I would like to go pick out a bush to plant....
I says wait a minute...let me go print out a map to the white house.

Congress also has the lowest approval ratings in history; but that does not seem to be making the headlines. When Bush leaves, most of Congress will still be in place. This is just another MSM hit piece aimed at the President.

I told you all way back in 2000, don't vote for this fool. What did you do? You went ahead and voted for him.

I told you all back in 2004, don't vote for this fool again. What did you do? You slapped those Bush/Cheney bumperstickers all over your car and gave those fools 4 more years.

Here we are now with the worst president the country's ever had, in a downward spiral economically, morally, educationally, we're hated by the rest of the world, and we're wasting bucoo bucks and American lives in a farce of a war.

We sure need to do better this election time; let's please try to pick someone who is going to spend their time and energy bringing America back to some semblance of normalcy.

Nice try. Those are separate branches of government so your post makes no sense.

Yeah. You're right. Bush is really awesome! This article is totally wrong - completely a hit piece. He is much loved!

And you aren't changing the subject at all. Not one bit.

Proves that doing what's RIGHT isn't always
popular.
rock stars are "popular" and rarely moral.
popularity should not be a benchmark for history.
mindless liberals prefer a lecherous draft dodger
to be popular.
"feel good" politics will always be more popular
with socialist programs recipients and foreign
dictators at the expense of the taxpayers.
liberals vote with their feelings and never their
intellect. Then if things go badly they always
blame the conservatives.

I am not happy with congress because they have done nothing to stop the damage done by the bush administration. The speaker of the house went so far as to say impeachment was off the table. I took that to mean, that no matter how many crimes bush commits, no matter their severity, congress would abdicate their responsibility for oversight.

What is wrong with you? There is nothing "conservative" about George W. Bush. He has spent our money like a drunken sailor; his spending is completely out-of-control. And I won't even bother touching the draft dodger crap.
Do you read anything at all, or do you just type BS on boards like this?

An interesting followup question would have been to ask the respondents whether they care to watch CNN.
The opinion polls that count are the ones that take place in voting booths.
See you in Nov '08.

President Bush’s approval ratings have fallen to an all time low in the Rasmussen poll (and just about every other poll for that matter). I can't claim any special insight into the president or his insiders; I've never met any of the powers that be, so my psychoanalyzing the administration may not be a particularly fruitful exercise. Nevertheless, I'm going to do so anyway.

It seems to me that the president has become altogether too comfortable with this notion that he's a latter day Harry S. Truman who will return home reviled as a president but will eventually become revered by history. It might well play out that way, and since I'm one of the hearty 30% or so who still approves of President Bush, I hope the latter part of the equation works out for him. But his present-day unpopularity will be a serious drag on Republican efforts this fall. Thus, it would be a swell thing if the administration resumed its efforts to communicate with the American people. Over the last few days, it's begun to look like the economy will avoid a recession. That’s a good thing, and yet 81% of the country already thinks we’re in a recession. The president is still the president – he has the largest bully pulpit of anyone in the world. He ought to resume using it.

You are making the implication that bush did something right. I would like to know what you think that was because I don't know of anything he did right. I don't see any honesty nor integrity. He lies continuously, has ordered torture. He allowed our soldiers to be sent to prison for carrying out his orders. He allows our soldiers to die in a war he created to steal oil. His policies have had devastating consequences to our economy. Please explain what he did right?

This article is from a liberal left wing Blog. This will give Buch as much justice as the Right Wing Press would give to Bill Clinton. That is whay you allways have to read both sides and make a judgement that is more likley in the middle. The far left and the far right allways blows thing up for little or no reason. "Read both sides"....

Both sides of WHAT exactly?

The truth is the truth. Anything else is just spin. And the truth is that Bush's approval ratings are abysmal. As well they should be.

No doubt there will always be silly Bush groupies who fantasize about suckling the contents of his codpiece. But most of the country finally gets it now, and that's the point of the article.
