You might want to look at the "soviet" documents a little closer. There is nothing new in them; the "classified information" is a rehash of the inrormation from earlier Vietnamese sources and dispatches from the US military and US newspaper reports.
You might want to check into the "sources" you are using! They have no credibility in any media outlet, except TOPIX!
Do some research for youself, read a book. "HOnor Bound" gives a lot of insight into the lives of our POW's and talks a lot about McCains journey, along with substantiated sources! Your local library is a great place to find a copy!
It's ironic you bring up honor.

Article IV of the US Military Code of Conduct states,
"If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. "

Article V states, "I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause. "

It matters not if you think the info given to the communists in McCain's interviews was harmful. The fact is...per the military code of HONOR he NEVER SHOULD HAVE DONE IT.

Can you explain to us, why you would vote for the very policies that led to your unemployment, WITHOUT using race or religion or confessing a blatant misunderstanding of the workings of government?

I did not think so.

Under a McCain-Palin administration :

- Long unemployment lines.

- Bread lines / soup kitchens.

- Many thousands of failed businesses with boarded up windows.

- Stock analysts seen jumping out of windows in the vicinity of Wall St.

- Abandoned vehicles on sides of roads.

- Cardboard placed in bottoms of shoes to cover holes in soles.

- Lights not seen in homes after dark. Some with flickering candles.

- John McCain purchases his 17th piece of real estate and working on 3 more.

- John McCain saying " My friends, better days are ahead ".

The study by the Government Accountability Office, expected to be released today, said two-thirds of U.S. corporations paid no federal income taxes from 1998 to 2005 and about 68% of foreign companies doing business in the United States avoided corporate taxes over the same period.
Collectively, the companies reported trillions of dollars in sales, according to the GAO’s estimate.
“It’s shameful that so many corporations make big profits and pay nothing to support our country,” said Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., who asked for the GAO study with Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich.
An outside tax expert, Chris Edwards of the libertarian Cato Institute in Washington, said increasing numbers of limited liability corporations and so-called “S” corporations pay taxes under individual tax codes.
The study did not investigate why corporations weren’t paying federal income taxes or corporate taxes and it did not identify any corporations by name. It said they may escape paying taxes because of operating losses or tax credits.
This is the one I found. I like the last paragraph. Plus this data end in 2005. What about 05 to 08?
Mccash wants to give them another tax break!

Isn't Barack related to Obama?? Distant cousin???
Sarah is without doubt a MUCH better shot than Cheney, Bush, Obama, Biden or McCain. She is a powerhouse.
Michael Reagan, and he should know, said that when he was watching Sarah Palin speak, he said to himself, my father has come back to life, as a woman. I only wish she was on the top of the ticket. Oh well.
You are a fool, this chick have 5 kids and I am sure if her ass wasn't that old, she would try for another. I can't imagine having sex with her, it must be like trowing a hot dog down the hallway, but her performance is perhaps in a BJ.LOL.

If you read my post, you might notice that I said the "Soviet" document was a rehash of info they had pulled from American newspapers, government dispatches and Vietnamese propaganda pieces.

The Code Of Honor was written in expectation that other countries would treat our POW's humanely. IN case you missed it, the Vietnamese routinely tortured our POW's. According to Colonel Ted Guy, almost every POW in Vietnam broke at one time or another.

It is easy for someone to sit behind their computer and pass judgement on what is right and wrong with something many of our POW's did. You dishonor all those who served and were held captive and put under extreme mental and emotional torture. For slandering them, you are a coward.

Before you start making comments about the Code of Honor, you might want to read up on it and its relationship to the UCMJ.

It makes me sick Pat. The money we are borrowing from China and spending like "drunkin sailors" will destroy us. We are also giving Georgia 1 billion to rebuild. Every child born today starts out $30,000 in debt. That is before this bail out.
We should have elected Ron Paul!!!

Colonel Earl Hopper served 30 years as an Army Airborne Officer, spending most of his time as an Intelligence Officer during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Here's an excerpt from his interview:

"As an example (and I'll quote this because it can be checked out), he personally wrote an article in the magazine [US News & World Report], wherein he stated that during the time he was in prison (in fact I think it was 5 or 7 days after he was captured) he asked the [North] Vietnamese to take him to the hospital, the Vietnamese hospital. And in so doing, he promised them that he would would give them classified military information.

They did. He did.

They took him to the hospital, questioned him, and he gave highly classified information. The most important of which was he gave the "package route", which was the route to bomb North Vietnam. He told in detail the altitude they were flying, the direction, if they made a turn, and how to get (into N. Vietnam) He also gave them where the targets were; of their primary entry. Whether it was a railroad; whether is was a bridge; whether it was an ammunition or fuel dump; or whatever it was, he gave them the primary targets the United States was interested in.

After he gave them that information, the Vietnamese naturally moved their anti- aircraft defenses into those areas and built them up and strengthened them. They also moved the rockets, aircraft weapons, into the "package route" of where the airplanes were flying in or egressing. The result of this, according to the information that came out later on, in intelligence, was that the Vietnamese started knocking down our aircraft in greater amounts than they had before. In fact, there was an estimate that we started losing 60% more aircraft and more men than we had previously. This went on for about a month, and it got so bad, that they finally called off the bombing of North Vietnam because of the information that McCain had given to them."

What is even sadder, is what people DO believe.

What led to your unemployment, is the fact that businesses in America cannot compete in a market that allows countries with NO Labor protections, who pay their workers 22 cents an hour, to import their goods into this nation without penalty. Also, when the US government allows our own corporations to move production offshore to those very same countries, the only jobs left here are Walmart and agriculture jobs, which are then filled by illegal immigrants (who have been imported by republican farmers) who will work for next to nothing.

As far as your imaginary friend goes, where the hell was HE when they were filling out your pink slip? Amazing how so many people think about their imaginary friends when it is obvious that their delusions CERTAINLY aren't thinking about THEM.

Religion is and always has been, simply a tool used by the elite to control the ignorant uneducated masses they wish to enslave.

I bet you do not even know that the bible you read was compiled and written at swordpoint, under decree by the emperor Constantine, to attempt to unify the various christain schisms, to better control his empire.

Get your head out of your ass, and vote for own best interests, and get over the fact that this man is black.

and PS... He is NOT a freaking muslim, either...
