One man's terrorist is another man's hero. dont' forget, the founding fathers of the United States were considered terrorists by the Brits. We used guerilla war tactics against a traditional army.

My personal Opinion. A.Islam. Not the obvious, but for another reason.
Islam strikes fear into the hearts of all evil. Unlike Christianity, we Muslims enforce our Sharia(laws) to the best of our power. Forbidding, all intoxicants(drugs, alcohol,etc), restricting fornication & prostitution, which by the way increases STD's, stopping abusive western habits,(countless, can't even start to describe there despicable acts.)
Islam terrorizes, not non-Muslims, but criminals. Rephrasing JUSTICE, with terrorism is a better fit.

The problem for anyone that is of the "bomb them into the Stone Age" sect is: where do we get that money? In case you've forgotten, they (the terrorists, that is) fight us on THIER turf with relatively inexpensive methods. IEDs are cheap to make and easy to use.

On the contrary, shipping troops to a foreign nation and occupying that nation while you try to separate "friend" from "foe" while under attack from said IEDs is VERY expensive. Unless you're in the top 1%(give or take) of this country you (and your children and your grandchildren) are going to pay for this for a LONG time.

Which brings me to my last point; if people are so into killing these guys, if they think the war is such a great idea, why aren't they in the armed services now? I understand that many people with this mindset are, and that's great. Now, just get the rest of the people that feel so vociferously about this approach to put their boots on and get to movin'. The government needs more canon fodder and the terrorists need more people to blow up, so do your part!

The US faced a problem requiring intellegence to infilltrate a network of terrorists, so they could be tracked and arrested or killed.

What we did was go to war against Iraq, who had nothing to do with 9/11 and no WMDs. We launched an ill concieved, immoral, and unnecessary war that drags on with no end in sight. We wasted the lives of our troops, wasted time and treasure on a fool's war.

At best, Bush and his team were staggeringly incompetent with the Presidency. At worst, this was a cynical tactic to enrich corporations like Halliburton, Blackwater, and big oil, while making a mockery of the Constitution and due process under law.

The end result is Bush goes down in history as the worst President ever. Thank God in six more months America will be rid of George W Bush.

Uh... duh. It's just a political tool used to justify pillaging the world's wealth by a small set of people.

Why haven't you enlisted to fight the "war on terror"?

There are 1.5 billion muslims in the world, even if 1/100 of them are terrorists, that's 15 million, the US only has about 1 million soldiers that are in active duty. Terrorism needs to be fought by every country because every country is a target.

The terrorists should be hunted down using agents and intelligence gathering techniques. We should avoid putting our troops in a dangerous position where they are uniformed and fighting fair against a criminal enemy that uses civilians as shields and refuses to wear a uniform or abide by any of the international rules of war. Terrorists are scum for law enforcement to clean up, let's save our military for fighting battles against armies, not criminals.
