My point to Barry was to show him how ridiculous he's being by demanding the ashes be put on us, or used, in the exact same way as in Scripture....covering our bodies. If he drives a car to worship, or goes to a church using electricity, or heat or ac, then he is not worshiping exactly the way they did in Scripture.
The Amish still do things that way...why not the baptists, if he is demanding the CC sticking so strictly to how things were done in Scripture?
Having the ashes put on our foreheads, instead of covering our whole bodies, is NOT CHANGING THE MESSAGE of what is represented by the ashes. But barry insists we are wrong and we're doing something pagan.
