K, thanks. I had just heard it from one source, and hadn't had a chance to check it out yet. Since you were talking about Obama, I thought I'd ask if anyone had heard it...

paul and his limited knowledge of the Holy Spirit continues to amaze me. he believes that He only resides in the building of the rcc, not realizing that he lives inside of us and as you havbe stated, he wrote His Word on our heart for us to carry with us always.

well God bless them for braving the threats.. and I really hope Netanyahu gets in over there.....amazing to see so many of those sites..there used to be a great tv series on very early in the mornings by a Messianic showing all the historical sites and giving history. I think that is where I saw the stuff about the cemterys at the foot of the mount.. cant remember the name
glad you liked the song and video it makes me long for the New Jerusalem..I have something called a Jerusalem globe taht I got on the internet.. well actually I called the 800 number and talked to the woman who said she would put a prayer for me at the wailing wall.. Imagine that..
Wouldn't it just be amazing to be able to go there...to the place where Jesus walked and talked and breathed??? I know the dirt He walked on is way underground now, but it was His home! He saw the same hills and valleys...wow! To see the biblical places that we have heard about!

<quoted text>You are correct. when a person is on their death bed, then at that time they need to know about the eternal soul they possess and its destiny as to where it will spend eternity.
Christians worry about that,
it seems like the catholics on here dont.
Seems to me they (or at least he) is more woried about temporal comforts than where the person will spend eternity. Maybe he figures there will be someone to pay their sins down...? Oops, nope, they were all poor. Which makes me wonder something...

If poor people can't afford indulgences to pay their relatives punishment down, isn't that discrimination? I mean, in that case, if a rich mans family paid for him, he would have it made, even though he paid for hits on people, stole and embezzled, etc., while the poor man who lied sometimes, stole food sometimes, gets to take the entire punishment.
Guess even Purgatory and indulgences are set up to benefit the rich.....

There are some beautiful books written by authors Brock and Bodie thoene.. the best are the A>D Chronicles.. but also are the Zion series books telling about the holocaust and the settling of Jerusalem...but the AD ones,, and these are semi fictional.. tell of scrolls about lives in the time of jesus.. amazing actually the scroll books start wit a book called the jerusalem scrolls in the Aion Legacy series but if you want to start with the AD Chronicles that is good too.. They protray Jeus as loving and changing hearts one by one.. its hard to describe.. but each is a work of faith.. and I have come to know so much more about Jews who believe in yeshua thru them even though they are fiction.. I get my books from amazon mostly but here is the thoene site..
http://www.thoenebooks.com/bookList.asp...
as for curiosity on the faith the Christian Rabbi gave a site but here is an interesting little study.. and site.. I get email from them also because they came to my church and held a passover supper class.. I wish sometimes that I had been raised in the jewish faith and them became a believer in Christ/yeshua.. it would be amazing I think
http://www.jewsforjesus.org/getsaved
K. Got them saved into faves...thanks! I luuuuvs to study! lol

You can still study the Jewish customs, traditions, etc. You don't have to be born a Jew to do that. Most will be happy to know you ccare enough to ask. The mom was really amazed when I said I was asking her these things cause I wanted the truth, and not for someone to just post partial truths or outright wrong information. She said most people don't feel that way about the Jews. So I am excited that she said to call her whenever I have questions...lolol she just doesn't know what she's in for! I'll be camping on their doorstep!! heehehee

But it is also said "No greater love hath anyone, that he should give his life for another", so that means denying your"self" to save someone else. Forgetting "self" is the greatest love.

TWO??? I only knew of one besides Fay!! LOLOL

Last I saw, Fay had just gotten back over water, and had already dropped 4mb!! She's only (or was) moving @ 2 mph,...so if she has dropped 4mb in just over an hour (from when I saw), and is only moving 2mph, she might get pretty wicked when she makes landfall again!

Well, as they say, they "hear" the entire bible every 2 or 3 years in the cath church, so if they don't do any extra reading on their own, it's not surprising he doesn't know more about the Holy Spirit.

Didn't David Copperfield make an elephant "vanish"? Or was that just the Great Wall of China? lol
Don't you think that if all everyone did was concentrate on the "goodness" of God that eventually, people would forget the "badness" of His vengance? We can get too comfortable in our way of thinking, and think "oops, well, God won't mind". Isn't that extremely dangerous? This is about our souls, and it is about eternity. No time off for good behaviour. It's either Heaven, or torment and agony without ceasing......We can't afford to get comfortable.
Hi, David did not vanishes the elephants... we did... sigh...

That is why I am talking about the moral difference... not the the style...

I know there will be a never ending arguement abt this topic, I just can't help it but laugh when I imagine God with his 2 children, one called Catholic the other Protestant constantly brickering (behind the car in the back seat...) You think if we are the parents, do we really mind ??? I will think that my children are different from each other with different personality, I will not force any one of them to become like the other (that will make twins!!) but they still loves me, no one will grow up going to jail or get themselves into trouble with the law, as I believe my education to them is the best.(in this case, I am not citing that I am the best, but I am refering to the teachings of Jesus and Church).

This may not be a good example, I apologise as I am really not an eloquant speakers like most of you guys.... I am not too good in expressing what I really want to say...

But 1 thing came to my mind as I type...

So what if anyone here wins an arguement? Will a non-christian reading this page/forum be touch by God's love and want to start a relationship with Him? What do we all gain for God and ourselves thru these? What good does it make out of this? Yes, we learn something from each other... our differences, but we gain more disagreement and some to extremes very harsh words/insults... to both sides...

I should start a topic: WHAT ARE THE SIMILARITY BETWEEN CATHOLICS AND PROTESTANTS? DIFFERENCES NOT WELCOME IN THIS THREAD.(HA HA)

Good day to all reading... Our Good Lord always bless...

http://lazarusunbound.com/bunkp_romosexuality...

Homosexuality is the product (or effect) of false worship, denying the Truth of the Bible, pride, haughtiness, vanity, idolatry, etc. Homosexuality is the natural end of Catholicism. Why do you think that homosexuality, pedophilia and other vile behaviors are epidemic in the Roman priesthood?

Many of you have cause and effect out of whack. Surely God destroyed New Orleans because of its wickedness and rampant homosexuality. But New Orleans was homosexual because New Orleans was Catholic. New Orleans’ Catholicity and her other wicked attributes were inextricably linked.

Get this straight… New Orleans was the most purely Catholic city in existence outside of Rome. Where Catholicism is left unchecked by the existence of true Christianity, it very quickly devolves into homosexuality, perversion, paganism, and death worship

When you plant a crop, when you tend that crop, when you water and nurture that crop, then you should not be surprised when you reap what you have sown. When you sow the wind, you will reap the whirlwind (Hosea 8:7). When you see a people steeped in unbiblical ritual and spiritual wickedness, and then you see that people move into homosexuality and perversion, then you can conclude that God’s judgment has already passed upon that people. The judgment phase has passed, and only the punishment phase is left to unfold

If true, then this would be disturbing. But since I am not voting for Obama, it should matter to those that do....

<quoted text>Paul, she is absolutely CORRECT. reading the Bible while in the Pulpit is very important, but GIF as well as myself can tell you that sometimes it isnt even necessary to open your Bible, because the Spirit of God is already "dealing" in the congregation, and WANTS HIS MESSAGE to go out immediately.
twenty years ago, I was Preaching in my first revival, I stepped into the Pulpit, His Spirit fell on me and I began to preach.
Around ten minutes later, I opened my Bible and read some Scripture, and began to Preach again.
the problem you catholics have is that you dont know God, nor His Will, nor His Way.
and that is very, very sad, since you miss His Goodness and His Grace.
and please dont tell me about any keys. your church has none.

Peace

A sermon and worship service in a non-Catholic service, is not the same as a homily and scripture reading in a Catholic Mass....

The non-Catholic service attempts to take on an air of confidence in the chaos, while the Catholic Mass has been structured for over two thousand years after the pattern in the Bible....

One may find the three Bible readings every day, in a cycle to cover the whole Bible at Mass. But your services appeal to those things focused on to the delight of itching ears....

Hi, Robert,

It's Nita. You still awake? Can't sleep? Perhaps the chance to dream later.
Good night and I pray that that storm Fay goes away sooner than later from my neck of the woods. Already is hitting my favorite hang out, Daytona Beach. I hope not much beach erosion has occurred over there.
Good night.

that is called Freedom to mind the Lord, something you dont have in your types of churches.
But to enlighten you, I mentioned that to my Pastor, and told him that I had not even asked a Prayer for God to Bless His Preaching Message.
and here is the difference between a wise Man of God and you john.
Woody told me" the Prayering had already been done, it was time for the Preaching.
and undoubtly it was, since several Persons came to the Altar that Sunday morning.

Are those repeats on the Altar call?

Watching the Billy Graham Crusades and the Altar calls when hundereds pour down from the stands, just like they do it all the time....What a joke. Such "miraculous" conversions are just as miraculously undone....In other words, the preacher in an emotional tirade basis his preaching on himself, and his human connection to the congregation rather than God, slowly converting the heart of the faithful....

Yes. Such a thing is possible. And in the past, when people were taken in more easily by Elmer Gantry style acrobatics. But today, a healthy bit of sketicism puts the real people of faith apart from such antics....
