Rudy is a complete joke. He is by far the weakest GOP candidate and will be out of the race by March 1st. McCain is about a half-step above him. He doesn't seem to be taking this very seriously. Thompson seemed unprepared. Huckabee, Romney, and Paul did a very credible job and are emerging as the GOP front-runners.

On the Dem side, someone should tell Hillary that being an annoying bitch is not a new strategy, as she has been one since entering public life. Obama was heads and shoulders above the rest of the pack. Edwards and Richardson both were OK.

These are scary times...choices are slim. Either religious zealots or status quo polititians. As RKF Jr. said, "Americans are the most entertained and least informed'. Media control is out of hand...the tool Hitler (yes, I DID make the comparison) used to gain power. Ron Paul got it right when he said the United States is currently under a soft form of Fascism. Dr. Paul is our only real choice to put power back into the hands of its citizens.

I can't seem to wrap my mind around anyone saying 'President Obama'...sounds like the leader of a third world country. Especially when the guy won't put his hand over his heart during the pledge of allegiance...obviously a true patriot.

Senator Edwards sure looked good yesterday during the debate.

Obama and Hillary went at each other all night, and I am sick of it. Looks like I will be changing to Edwards. I really like what his message says.

Sorry Hillary, your time has passed for me. Barack has no chance because of his age and background in the south and west. The Dems need a winner in 2008 to change the way this country has been run under Bush A$$. Edwards appears to be that man.

The GOP candidates went at each other tooth and nail. What a bunch of losers the GOP has on their list of candidates.

Go John Edwards !!!

You represent exactly what is wrong with this country. You are more controlled by fear instead of hope. The fact that a candidate whose father was born in Kenya and mother in Kansas is just too much for old farts to take.It should be an inspiration to us and not something to fear. I am a 60 year old white guy who clearly see there is someone running who truly loves this country and has the guts to listen to the people instead of special interest groups that have governed this country for decades. A President who will penalize big business for sending jobs overseas while offering tax cuts to the middle class. A President who will truly balance trade instead of being stomped on by the Chinese for the sake of short term corporate profits. A President who will fight a war on terror with a world coalition to not occupy countries for the sake of having a "presence" to police the world, but to truly identify the enemy and destroy them regardless of what country they inhabit. A President who will have a doable Universal Health Care program that can pass Congress by working with everyone instead of fighting and bitching at them. A President who will insitute an energy program that will finally give us some relief from high energy costs and weaken the oil rich countries that harbor terrorists. And finally a President who will develope a country our grandchildren can be proud of and build on by educating them and inspiring them to realize its still a damn great country.

Wake up and smell the coffee people. Do not be afraid. Stand up and give this man a chance to make the difference we all want.

and why won't he put his hand over his heart for the pledge??? Maybe he's too liberal even for me.

Even if he's all you say, you know the Dems can't win in the south and west with him as their candidate. They need Florida & New Mexico to win enough electoral votes. He'd make a good running mate for Edwards then he could follow in 8 years after people get to know him better maybe.

He also did not have a chance in Iowa (95% white) as you may recall. He also won with women, independents, switched many Republicans, inspired young people, and won on all the issues in Iowa. Iowa did their homework. Obama is ever bit the patriot and more than those masquerading to really give a damn about this country. And as far as Edwards is concerned, he AND his wife are too argumentative and stubborn to listen and work with Republicans to meet common goals.

Obama truly loves his country? When he refused to put his hand over his heart he was standing in front of a huge American flag! When he was sworn in as a Senator he placed his hand on the friggin' Koran, not the Bible! Edward Abbey once said,' A true patriot will always be ready to defend his country against his government'. Exactly what country does Obama represent?

let me corect that quote by Hitler...
'The broad masses of a population are more amenable to the appeal of rhetoric than to any other force'. And this one...'How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think'.

You are an idiot. Obama was sworn in using the Holy Bible. After being raised outside of any particular faith tradition, Obama became a Christian in his mid 20s and is a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.

Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., an American convert to Islam and the first Muslim elected to Congress. Ellison used a Koran that once belonged to Thomas Jefferson, borrowing the rare book from the Library of Congress.

Get your facts straight, idiot.

Perhaps...however that does nothing to take away from the fact that he can stand in front of an Americam flag and disrespect it. No comment on that? on a side note...you claim to be 'the original freedom fighter'...how much time did you volunteer to serve your country?

I don't always place my hand over my heart during the playing of the National Anthem, and from the looks of most others around me at sporting events and the like, I am not in the minority.

I defend my country every day from idiots like yourself. You don't need to be in the armed forces to do that.

Obviously you are challenged in your reading comprehension skills...my comparison was the Hitler regime with the current administration and current state of our country. RFK Jr. also makes a similar comparison in his speech circuit. ...'least informed'...how true...perhaps voting rights should be limited to those who understand the issues.
