The article, of course, is a complete lie. Leftists like to argue that the only only taxes are income taxes. They forget about all the "hidden" taxes that everyone pays when they buy something..whether they know it, or want to believe it, or not. Even if the .82 percent rate were real, which is of course is not, it would add up to Romney paying more income taxes then well over 3/4ths of the nations citizens...in a nation where over half of the citizens..the BOTTOM half of wage earners, by the way, pay no income taxes at all. Indeed, a good percentage of the bottom half actually get PAID by the Federal Government in the form of refundable "Earned Income Credits" and Child Tax Credits that equal more than the tax owed. Thus, they get back bigger "refunds" than what was actually held. In many cases, by many thousands of dollars. It's the perfect example of income redistribution in the form of stealing from the "haves", and giving to the "have nots". Add in the rest of taxes that the Romney's pay on everything they buy, and the Romney's pay far more in taxes than 90% of citizens. It's time for the people of the U.S. to again admire success, rather than denigrate it out of jealousy.

Mr. Ryan, perhaps the most articulate budget wonk in either party, will spend the next 85 days laying that out for American voters. Make no mistake: Mr. Obama tossed and turned through a sleepless slumber after word leaked out at midnight Friday that Mr. Romney had picked Mr. Ryan. He knows the choice was indeed a game-changer — one that will leave him very little room to distract and deceive voters about his dismal record. And he knows he cannot run and hide, not now." It protects Kerry , the Kennedysand Soros but it gets the professional athlete right in the prime of his career. Obamaites explain it as being ' Patriotic '. I explain as protecting the ' Old Rich ".

Are you saying THIS is the new normal? Obama's budget,oh wait he has not had one in over 3 years, Obama's debt 5 trillion and counting, Obama TOOK how much money from Medicare/caid to fund his new tax ,oh wait I mean Obama Care, he has been de-funding social security for how long now? We do have a choice, we can be like Greece under Obama, or we can be that "shining city on a hill" under Romney! I pick the shining city and so will this country!! Our experiment with socialism will be over soon! No one liked it!

Our experiment with socialism will be over soon! No one liked it! doesn't matter. it's all about perception. people over 40 perceive the Ryan plan, which Romney endorses, as a way to privatize social security and dismantle Medicare. for people that have been paying into social security for 20+ years, the idea of privatization is scary, because if the market crashed again, all of those funds would disappear. people that make less than $50k a year don't like that idea. and more than half the population makes less than $50k per year.

Mr_Bill wrote: <quoted text> .82% TAX RATE? .82% is less than one percent. Like,.0087 of Romney's income. It's kind of a phenomenon here, Bill. A lot of the people that wrap their loving arms protectively around Romney and Koch and big money don't have a pot to piss in. They're poor as church mice, but they will follow the money trail like they think some is actually going to come their way. I'm not sure why this is. I have no allegience to any political party, but I for certain will not align myself with one that is utterly and blatantly all about protecting the wealthy. What good would that do me? I work for a living. When I hear that Romney likes to fire people and Ryan has crushed and walked all over the working people of Wisconsin, I wouldn't vote for them if they begged me. It's beyond time that big business be removed from politics. The people of this country are getting crushed by it.
