Clearly, oil prices and energy prices are out of control and are set by the Middle Eastern radical Islamic Jihadist regimes and Sheiks that support the Islamic terrorists. The sad fact is that US government of Bill Clinton and the left wing liberal Dems politicians decided in 1995 to stop domestic oil, gas and coal production in continental US and US waters. This decision meant that the US lost its independence as a sovereign country that controls its economy and national security and became a weak third world country that depends on tyrant regimes such as King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. Nevertheless, US was blessed by huge resources of oil, gas, coal, oil shale and tar sand that can supply US with gasoline and heating oil or gas for hundreds of years at less than half the price of oil barrel of $112. In addition domestic US oil production will prevent the financing of US worst enemies including the Iranian nuclear WMDs and al Qaida attacks on US troops. It all depends on few left wing liberal politicians and GOP politicians that are holding the American people as hostages of the …Islamic terrorist suicide bomber oil. Enough is enough with corrupt anti-American liberal politicians that ruining US economy and national security for their partisan selfish interests. It is time to start using the less than half price huge US oil fields in North Dakota, Montana Alaska and oil shale in Utah, Colorado Idaho and other states. Where are President Bush, GOP Congressmen and McCain that promised the American people to support the independence of the American people from the Islamic terrorist oil countries with domestic oil production???

the permanent anti drilling bill should never be passed. never put your country in a box with no other alternatives. the moratorium runs out 2012. i believe we should stay open minded and humble instead of arrogant and all knowing. for the people and by the people . remember?

The dollar tanked again today. Hence, the price of oil goes up and everything which requires energy or transportation. Dollar goes down and prices go up...it's that simple.

And then you are unemployed, lose your house and have to live in a tent or cardboard box. You will also lose your property because you did not pay the taxes. Makes you proud to be a American doesn't it. If your rich it will be okay for a while but everybody else it will suck big time.

It's not big oils fault. They only own about 10% of the oil that they must buy from countries that extract it and export it to us. It's those countries that are the largest beneficiaries of our hard earned labor and sweat. Don't blame the oil companies, they only buy it, process it, and then sell it in it's many forms from gas, jet fuel, plastics, petroleum distillates, to detergents, surfactants, and lubricants. They take the oil they buy and turn it into products that we all use on a daily basis and sell those products to other companies that turn it into other product. Blame OPEC for setting the price and production on the open market and blame your government in concert with the kook-environmentalist movement for halting and preventing our own oil companies from going out and harvesting our own friggin reserves that we've had capped now for 30 years. There are absolutely huge reserves that are being found in this country and off of our coasts but because there are legislative restrictions on drilling, processing, refining, and developing these resources, we point the finger of blame in the wrong direction. Point it at the leftist nuts who want to restrict your freedom of movement while at the same time they want you to pay, like the Europeans do, for high fuel costs through unnecessary and needless regulations and taxation to separate you from your car to get you into light rai or buses. We can be energy dependent from OPEC nations. The day our president says that we will start to drill again for our own oil, you watch a barrel of oil drop to $40 bucks or lower. Besides, where do you think most of our oil comes from anyway? On the west coast it comes mainly from Indonesia or Alaska, from the east coast it's primarily from Venezuela, Nigeria, and the Mid-East coming up around 14% of that production. Ask fat boy Ted 'The Drunken Sot' Kennedy why he doesn't want to drill for oil off of the Atlantic Coast or ANWAR or in South Dakota/Montana? Ever hear a drunken pig squeal? Well if you proposed that question to him you will. Blame OPEC not the oil companies. Besides, many stocks, mutual funds, IRA's and 401k's own oil stock and those funds are a coalition of people like you and me.

Where did you learn how to whine like a classical leftist class warfare puppet? Buddy, if I had a dollar for everytime I hard someone like you mewling about how the rich have it better than those who are going to lose their house, live in a box, and can't pay their taxes, I'd be the rich guy you are crying about. Listen, you make your own way in this country, so if you face hard times, you have to learn how to adapt and adjust. Not so much money coming in? Find another method to generate revenue, get another job, tone down your lifestyle, sell your house and downsize. Whatever it takes to keep you off the streets you should do, but don't sit there in front of your computer that you payed for, connected to the internet that you payed for, sitting on a desk that you paid for, in house, condo, or apartment that you paid for, to complain to me about how bad things are. It just makes you look foolish. I'm proud to an American regardless of my financial situation. You obviously are not. You tie your love of country to your level of personal prosperity. Oh yeah, if it's good times with you, then it's God Bless America. If it's bad times, then it's what? God Damn America? All of a sudden your love of country is a proportional ratio to your level of personal wealth? Grow up and stop whining.

I get by okay for now but you assume alot from a few short comments i made. If you thought i was putting down the rich your wrong. I was saying the rich would last longer than lower income people in this economy we have right now. Everybody suffers when the economy is going down tubes. All you can do is the best that you can to get by helping each other.

We're winning a three trillion dollar debt mostly for our kids and their kids. Add to that winning a dollar which has lost 15% of it's value since last September, accounting for winning the $4.00/gal price at the pump. Winning the scorn of the entire world. Need I go on? What part of winning don't you understand? No asrcasm from me.

Yep, any and everything that is currently wrong today is Bill Clinton's fault. And George W. Bush the Republican dominated House and Senate did what about this domestic oil and gas production crisis you speak of when they had an opportunity to address it? Can you spell n-o-t-h-i-n-g?!?!?! The oil companies like things just as they are. They are making boatloads of money and could care less where the petroleum products they sell originate from. Listen moron! If you must talk and behave stupidly at least have the decency to limit such behavior to those times when you're in the privacy of your own home or in the company of friends, family members and other simpletons like yourself.
