Taliban Forces Kill 10 French Soldiers and Raid U.S. Base

I am sorry for the French people

A lot of Frenchmen and Americans died to free France from the grips of Hitler's forces in WW II. The French are standing with us again in Afghanistan. Plenty of Frenchmen believe in fighting for freedom and are putting their lives on the line for a better world.

I agree with the above posts.

I will state again, for the umpteenth time, the only way to win a war with insurgents is to simply make it too expensive for them to continue their attacks.

Much like they are making it to expensive to continue to fight them in Iraq, it was their plan all along to draw this out and destroy our economy, it seems to be working.

NATO has a token force in Afganistan, made up by a largely token force of Americans. If our current Commander in Chimp didn't invade Iraq, he'd have the necessary troops to fight the Taliban and more effectively search for bin Laden.Unfortunately, both Iraq and Afganistan are unwinnable occupations.

The Taliban have resorted to desperation measures to gain news headlines instead of winning battles. It was the same tactics that al Qaeda used in Iraq and they lost because of it. The Taliban suffered a significant defeat in attacking the American base and also lost three times more troops when they attacked the French. The news headline reads: French lose 10 and buries the part about the Taliban losing 30.

It simply shows the gross incompetence of the Bush administration. This is what happens when, instead of fighting terrorism for the country, Bushies send massive military forces to support oil profits for their buddies.
