the fcc is waste of taxpayer money on the level of a $30K hammer or $20K toilet seat. they do nothing constructive. shut down the entire ridiculous waste. there is literally zero logical or intelligent reason for the fcc.

You see plenty of boobs on TV when you watch coverage of the U.S. Senate, House of Representatives, or the White House.

Our culture. Same reason that in Muslim countries, women do not go public without covering their hair. Many years ago, while still in College, I had a female Muslim instuctor and I never knew what color her hair was, or for that matter, if she even had any hair. One of life's mysteries, but in other cultures such as Jamaica, a woman's breasts are not part of her nudity. Very common in Jamaica to go to a beach and see women wearing only a bikini bottom. We as a culture have made a woman's breasts part of her nudity. Interesting that 150 years ago, a woman's ankles were considered part of her nudity and they would always wear ankle length dresses.

I guess what I find so bizzare with the particular situation, and general US culture, is the only reason a fine was to be levied was due to the hour of TV viewing the breast was exposed. As a culture we make a breast a taboo thing for children to see, yet 1/2 of the function of a breast is for feeding children.

The other 1/2 is for attacting attention. There is a reason that humans are one of the few primates -- possibliy the only (don't recall for certain)-- for which the female of the species breasts are enlarged outside of when they are engorged for feeding offspring. As animals which stand upright, biology had to do something additional to attact others of the species which was closer to eye level.

Many people don't realize that when Janet Jackson was in high school, she worked hard in a laundry shaking farts out of bedsheets.
It was then when the thought of a singing career entered her mind.
