Republicans have always had a problem with missing ballots like in Florida when Bush won the election and his brother then Florida Governor hid Gore ballots. Dirty cheating Republicans.

Poll: 20 Percent Of Republicans Would Vote Obama Given GOP Field

February 10, 2012 by Sam Rolley

UPI

A new poll indicates that many are unhappy with Presidential choices.

A recent poll conducted by WND and Wenzel Strategies finds that in match ups against Republican Presidential candidates, about 20 percent of Republicans said they would vote for Barack Obama for President.

The poll was conducted by telephone Feb. 1-3, 2012, and has a margin of error of 3.44 percentage points.

“The improvement in Obama’s prospects compared to the four remaining Republican challengers stems largely from two factors,” said pollster Fritz Wenzel.“First, Obama has largely avoided the political limelight while the GOP candidates savage each other with increasing intensity. Second, a smattering of evidence indicates that the economy is getting a little better, which helps the White House in the eyes of the voters. Secondly, the bloody fight for the Republican presidential nomination — by most estimations the nastiest GOP fight in memory — has really hurt the images of the challengers in the eyes of both Republicans and, especially, independent voters. For Republicans, each candidate carries with them now some taint that cannot be ignored.”

According to the poll results, Obama would likely beat any Republican if the election were held today, though Ron Paul has the best chance of beating him. Obama leads Paul in the poll 44 percent to 40 percent, with 16 percent undecided. Also from the poll, Mitt Romney is within single digits of Obama, 48 percent to 41 percent, and has a commanding lead over Newt Gingrich, 50 percent to 36 percent, and Rick Santorum, 49 percent to 34 percent.

Hmmmm...the counties where they had the bigger problems in 2000 were DEMOCRAT counties and a Democrat Supervisor of Elections.(Remember the infamous magnifying glass?)

There is still a doubt in many minds as to the truth of the matter because recounting was not consistent in each county. It was finally determined that by one measure, if applied consistently, Gore would have won by 115 or 107 votes, depending on which rule was applied. In the final way votes were accepted and ruled by the Supreme Court, Bush won by 493 votes. Thank goodness we no longer have that kind of voting machine!

This is rather interesting: www.rci.rutgers.edu/~gpomper/FloridaRecount.d...

I still blame Katherine Harris (Sec.of State) for closing the counting when she knew it wasn't finished and the whole thing was a major SNAFU.

The Caucus System, thinks that it is under fire, because it has demonstrated how irrelevant it is when it is run by a mediaElite that picks a RNC leader to lose.

The counties that had the problems were Palm Beach and Volusia (where I live) both had Republican supervisors of elections.

In fact it seems that Volusia has 1400 residents stationed at the Mayport Navy Air Station (at the time its total staff) that all voted absentee for Bush. One of those things that make you say hmmmmm.

I agree the caucus system is under fire. They just announced that Romney won Maine on my local news and the Maine caucus hadn't even finished yet.
I have been watching it on Politico and there is only 83% of the votes that are in.
That said, Ron Paul is only 94 votes behind Romney so how can they declare Romney the winner

Great reading!

http://www.amazon.com/At-Any-Cost-Tried-Elect...

Part one of Bill Sammon’s blockbuster book, "At Any Cost: How Al Gore Tried to Steal the Election," revealed how the networks cost George W. Bush at least 10,000 votes in Florida by making an early - and completely false - call giving the state’s 25 electoral votes to Al Gore.
Al Gore, who kept insisting that "every vote be counted,” robbed American troops serving their country overseas of their right to vote, according to Bill Sammon's investigation of Gore’s shameful, underhanded fight for Florida’s crucial electoral votes.

To illustrate the depths to which Gore sank in his effort to steal the election from George W. Bush, Sammon tells the shocking story of Navy Lt. John Russell, a heroic career officer who had just fought to help save the crew of USS Cole after it was bombed by terrorists in Yemen.

The main battlegound was Duval County, home to more military families than any other county in Florida. Duval had more absentee ballots from overseas than any other county - 618 of 3,500 cast statewide. Five Gore lawyers showed up at the elections office at 9 a.m. Friday to disqualify as many of those ballots as possible.

The wrong candidates have been winning so the Republican establishment needs to change how their primary's are conducted so their pick will win.

Yes and here is the strange thing. During the other races in the different states they have a map so you can track which county received how many votes. In the race I have been trying to see which county did what but the map just says 0% reported.

They are definitely hiding something. Something stinks in Maine.

Wrong. Theresa LePore was a registered Democrat in Palm Beach County. After the election she changed to NPA...no party affiliation.

The military votes you are talking about are the 1400 absentee ballots from Mayport Navy Station in Duval county. At the time Maypost only has a skiliton maintaince crew and it seems they all resided in Volusia county. If you don't think the entire staff of a small navy base all came from one county to be suspicious you need to wake up to reality. But you are more interested in spin then facts.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Taurus

Get involved in financial transactions at your peril under today's Lunar Eclipse, because certain people will use them as a stick to beat you with. For instance, if you ask someone to lend you money they'll either make you feel guilty about it or dredge up all sorts of past instances when their trust was betrayed. You would also be well advised to avoid any show of possessiveness or jealousy, even if you feel it, unless you truly don't care about the disastrous outcome.
