Does anyone agree with this statement about the nature of God?

The Democrat of today is nothing like the Democrat of a few decades ago.

F.D.R. was a Great President and a Democrat! J.F.K. was a Great President and would be considered a man of conservative principals if alive to day. J.F.K. would not allow a homosexual in his office let alone in his administration, he also believed in the right to life and not the death mantras of today’s abortion activists.

The first Liberal President was Jimmy Carter who was a one term failure. He received a Noble Peace Prize, but so did Yassr Arafat…(I guess that shows what little attention is given in making those awards).

The Democratic Party was hijacked by the liberals soon after the Kennedy death when the nation was reeling from that great mans demise. I suppose we were looking for a reason for his early departure and took our eyes off of the Democratic principals and fell victim to liberalism and the ill conceived notion that death was better than life and sexually depraved people were just enlightened and not basically evil.
Many of us former Democrats as we saw the transformation of the party drift farther and farther to the Marxist left decided to leave the party, but where to go?
What we should have done right then and there was to form a strong third party devoted to The Constitution and The Bill of Rights. A party that took the tried and proven good parts of the Democratic Party and some of the Patriotic Principals of the Republican Party and made One Great American Party. But we didn’t.

Today we have a choice between a Liberal Marxist Elitist Democrat, Obama and a Semi-Fascist liberal Republican. Not much of a choice really.

The idea of having a person who uses ‘sound bites’ to make public policy. A person who has literally no accomplishments on his resume’. A person of doubtful sincere allegiance to America. A person who’s more interested in poll results than facing the direct questions of ‘bitter’‘typical white’ people alarms me.

I in good conscience can not vote for Obama and only reluctantly will vote for McCain.

Democrats take back your party and get someone who is really fit and ready to be President and you will get so many votes you will be amazed. A Leftist Elitist Marxist Liberal like Obama will do nothing but cause more division than National Unity and I doubt after all is said and done will not be the next President..

Someday the Democrats will realize that the bulk of
Americans are not liberals (nor conservatives). They like some liberal concepts and some conservative concepts. For example, rightl so, they want a very strong America. They know that the prize for second place is just a set of steak knives. They also want a reasonable tax policy. Dont give away the store to the millionaires, but don't think you can be excessive in the tax rates. Over 50% effective rates, no matter how high the income seem wrong to most Americans. Also most Americans feel crime is the fault of criminals, not society and that the individual should pay for his/her crimes, not get coddled. Finally, most Americans treasure their rights to their God, their guns, their own communities.

As long as the Democrats try to push a 1960s ultra liberal agenda, they are doomed no matter who the Republicans run. The Dems took control of the congress in 2006 because they ran a slate of moderate candidates- war veterans, ex- Republicans, and pro-gun ownership candidates. The Democrats could kick the hell out of the republicans if they promised a strong defense (and create jobs with it), back concealed carry nationwide, balance the budget, and get tough on crime. Unfortunately, like the GOP, the Democrats are really only about power. And all the benefits of being the party in power. Just as in Illinois where having the Democrats in control of the state has not done anything for the citizens (same as under GOP), a Democratic Federal government seems to only mean spoils for the party elite.
Why should I care if Nancy Pelosi's friends get the millions compared to Newt Gingrich's? That is the ugly reality of our nation right now.
